AHAHAHAHAH! I read all the comments about the back up singer. I didn't think he sucked that bad. Then the chorus came in and there he was. It sounded like that geography teacher who always wanted to sing, but couldn't. She kept looking at him thinking "you're sooooooooooooo fired after this show". He was so loud and gross I thought she was the back up singer lol.

the incredible thing about her is that she sounds the same live and on the album, that is a credit to her skill and the music she chooses to record and perform.

Very good performance! Chantel is such a power house. Her voice evokes such emotion. I like the backup singer, however he sounds a bit like Tom Petty which is a bad match for Chantel's voice and the song. Near the end, he's a touch flat, and Chantel is sharp on one note and the resulting discord is unpleasant for a moment. Also, he flips from his chest register to falcetto and it sounds forced. All in all, a really fantastic performance. I thought I would weigh in because of the bad comments.

I heard her live here in her hometown of Winnipeg a few years ago. Her son came out and sat on her lap before one of the songs and wouldn't leave....so she played and sang like that anyway, and still did it beautifully!

A Grammy would be neat but I stopped caring about them long ago when I considered how many artists whom are far from obscure but never even got a sniff of recognition from the nominating committee and also how many Grammies have been awarded to artists that have made little-to-no lasting contribution to the world of music. Love this song and her music. You do realize that musicians look at each other for signs for changes in songs, and feed off each others energy. She wouldn't have the backup vocalist (guitarist) sing if he wasn't good, I am sure this wasn't the first song on the set, it's usually an encore and they were more than likely tired.

I love this song to bits, it's such an emotional song. Chantal wrote this song about her friend who committed suicide at a young age. Actually, everytime she talks about the bomb, she's talking about the call she recieved finding out about his death. Apparently she finds it very hard to sing as well due to it's emotional depth for her.
