This is one of my favorite worship songs. I find it amazing that God would send His son Jesus to die for ME for all I have done and yet to do because of His incredible love. Praise Jesus!

During band practice with my 2 man band, we stumbled across this song that i had long forgotten about. We sat it down, he started to play and I started to sing, and I couldn't help that tears filled my eyes. In one week we are going to be performing this song for middle schoolers, and I hope they feel it as much as I do. Praise the Lord.

wow. hillsong makes some great catchy music along with another christian band called Red Letter Hymnal. They both have great music on youtube and itunes for that matter
they have some good songs but realise that you get theology through worship songs as well as the pulpit whether you're aware of it not.

@elenore88 yes he did take our place on the cross. prior to Jesus, the Jews sacraficed a ram as an atonement of their sins. they did this every 7th month of the year. The high priest would put the blood in the ark of the convenant--this was serious stuff, any mistakes, the HP would die. More so, when u commit one Law, you break the entire the law, so we are deserving of death. But God loved us, He send Jesus to restore us to the Father and now we are free from bondage of the Law.
so the 'law' is bad? then why did God create it in the first place? Because he had no idea what he was doing? And does that mean that because there is 'no law' there is now no sin, since sin is the breaking of the law.
as I said. be careful. if someone tells you that you're not going to be judged for your sins, the only person who has the right to say that is God. And if he doesn't..............
@elenore88 Dude u missed understood entirely. The Law is not bad, in fact, God gave us the Law to make us think consciously of our actions & to tie us back to Him. Pple began to worship the Law (Pharisees), instead of living for God. We not only commit sins by our actions but also, whats projected in our mind. Jesus said that if you look at a woman lustfully u already committed adultry in ur heart.that is a sin&u cant redeem urself--but Christ, as Paul said, is the end of the law--
@elenore88 Christ came to fulffil the Law not to abolish it because it is the Word of God. God's character stays the same and never changes. Christ took our place on the cross because our blood and our suffering is still worthy to God. we are not pure in heart and in mind as always break the Law (10 commandments)--we're never consistent. Christ was perfect and therefore, because of His innocence, His sinless nature, He was chosen to be the sacrafice for our sins.

Not quite sure what you're trying to say here but yes I agree. Christ was sacrificed for our sins so that they COULD be forgiven. But not automatically wiped clean just because.

@elenore88 sorry, our sacrafice is still UNworthy to God. Our imperfections shows that we are not holy, we are not consistent, we muck up God's laws everyday. I do believe once u accepted Jesus Christ as your personal saviour and Lord in your life, your sins wiped clean. Because we are imperfect, we turn to Jesus as our primary example of leading our lives in this world. And for the 'ticket' dude, u need to read the book of Romans. @elenore88 We are free from condemination from the Law (ten commandments). That includes other laws that holds us into bondage (demonic spirits, worldy rules ie: world thinks its not cool to forgive our enemies but God wants us to). David actually challenged the law (societal norms--tradition) by stripping naked and praisng God for who He is (high priests didnt like that) bt God honoured him. Also, we can sin under the Law, but because Christ came, we have the opportunity to repent.

Resurrection Sunday is drawing near and I see that the whole thing of Easter bunny have become the central focus in the society rather than the fact that Jesus died, gave his life for us, and rose from the grave. He took our place, knowing he would be crucified, because he loved us and so that we can come to know his name and live in his love. Let us, brothers and sisters in Christ, really give him the worship, honor, and glory that he deserves on this day that he conquered the grave! :D

This hand sign was brought in the earlier comments. Apparently, since he is holding out his little finger, index finger and THUMB finger, it actually is an informal way of saying "I Love You". It is only when the THUMB is not not extended as well when the gesture becomes ... :) I hope this clears up misunderstanding.

@elenore88 Christ came to fulffil the Law not to abolish it because it is the Word of God. God's character stays the same and never changes. Christ took our place on the cross because our blood and our suffering is still worthy to God. we are not pure in heart and in mind as always break the Law (10 commandments)--we're never consistent. Christ was perfect and therefore, because of His innocence, His sinless nature, He was chosen to be the sacrafice for our sins.

Not quite sure what you're trying to say here but yes I agree. Christ was sacrificed for our sins so that they COULD be forgiven. But not automatically wiped clean just because.
Regardless.

@elenore88 sorry, our sacrafice is still UNworthy to God. Our imperfections shows that we are not holy, we are not consistent, we muck up God's laws everyday. I do believe once u accepted Jesus Christ as your personal saviour and Lord in your life, your sins wiped clean. When you repent, God will not mention it on Judgement day, since u have turned to His Son, Jesus Christ.

Because we are imperfect, we turn to Jesus as our primary example of leading our lives in this world. And for the 'ticket' dude, u need to read the book of Romans. @elenore88 We are free from condemination from the Law (ten commandments). That includes other laws that holds us into bondage (demonic spirits, worldy rules ie: world thinks its not cool to forgive our enemies but God wants us to). David actually challenged the law (societal norms--tradition) by stripping naked and praisng God for who He is (high priests didnt like that) bt God honoured him. Also, we can sin under the Law, but because Christ came, we have the opportunity to repent.

Resurrection Sunday is drawing near and I see that the whole thing of Easter bunny have become the central focus in the society rather than the fact that Jesus died, gave his life for us, and rose from the grave. He took our place, knowing he would be crucified, because he loved us and so that we can come to know his name and live in his love. Let us, brothers and sisters in Christ, really give him the worship, honor, and glory that he deserves on this day that he conquered the grave! :D

He referred to himself as "I am", a reference to God. But you are right. He did try to make people better. @moradler Jesus was worshiped and only God should be worshiped, yet Jesus didn't tell them to stop worshiping him. I encourage you to read the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke or John in the Bible. Those books tell us all about Jesus and the things He said and did. God bless you!

This hand sign was brought in the earlier comments. Apparently, since he is holding out his little finger, index finger and THUMB finger, it actually is an informal way of saying "I Love You". It is only when the THUMB is not not extended as well when the gesture becomes ... :) I hope this clears up misunderstanding.
