You're going to hit Bohlman-Norton-Kittridge-Quickert-On Orbit-Bohlman, right? :) Or Welch Creek? I think my legs would hurt just watching either of those!
@ratpick The problem with the super-steep stuff (including Redwood Gulch, which I tried) is that you can't get usable video if you're standing up, and just try doing one of those climbs sitting down! Maybe you can, but I can't, without the bike popping a wheelie. It will be interesting to see how much usable vs useless video I get next time on Sonora Pass. --Mike--
Yes, we're truly blessed with some great places to ride, just minutes from our doors. I can head out from my house and, in 20 minutes, be climbing something like this (either Old LaHonda or Kings Mtn). Getting to West Alpine takes a bit longer; you have to climb Old LaHonda first, but it's still just a bit over an hour's ride away. --Mike--
