@themeankanin This game takes wind into account really well, as well the weight of the car is also very realistic, adjusting fuel for a race is important. The fear of crashing is another thing! I was stupid back when I was like 18 and 19 years old, I really got a thrill out of hitting a corner hard and feeling the g's pulling and the sound of the tires squeeling, I was never scared, but I did eventually crash and total my car, I learned a lot of skills in the process though!
One thing I would mention, the Stig's 1:44.4 was actually done in the less powerful Suzuki Liana. He's yet to do a fast lap in the Lacetti so there's not really any point comparing your time to his, be better off looking at the Celeb board for the Lacetti.
although, the lacetti in the game looked quite steady, maybe that's just the look in the game but the setting is in theory like the real car, dunno. i can just say from experience - one of my friends got a lacetti - it's more wobbly than the one in the game looked...the suspension is like a sponge cake ^^
Maybe so, that said, this mod was made quite strictly by hardcore race sim fans, it is closer in performance to the real thing than it may appear. GTR2 simulates suspension very well, but it doesn't show on the exterior as well as it could, looks like the car is sort of hovering although driving it feels nothing like you are hovering. I am glad you enjoyed the video, I am not positive how close it is to the real thing but I hear it is pretty close.
Thanks, but I don't know what is wrong with a 19 inch. First everyone had to have a 14 inch, then 17 inch, then 19 inch, then 22 inch widescreens. I don't even know how big they get now. One thing can tell you though, the bigger the monitor requires more resolution to get the same picture quality, thus meaning less fps for demanding games. So you have to upgrade the graphics card, and probably the motherboard and cpu with it. Not worth it.
i was forced to buy a 22" since i couldnt find a smaller (beside a unknown brand lcd for 50euro...). now im lacking room for it, and the whole system looks crowded, nice for movies tho. but ignore the comments, i would still go for a smaller lcd if i had the choice.
I did touch the grass a little, a little more and it would have slowed me down as I fought for grip to get back on the track. Most people tend to go too slow on that corner though, funny how Jeremy always points that out. You want to use as much of the track as possible without going too wide.
That game should have Dacia Logan too:))
By the way, you should change earlier, the engine has allmost no torque at that rpm's:)

good, but there are so many factors that will hurt your time in real life,, wind, weight, surface and last but not least fear of crashing

@themeankanin I do agree though, I predict in real life I would be a bit slower, but I will never know for sure.

Have you got the Suzuki?

No, sorry I don't. Go to nogrip and make a request, that is all I can offer because I have never made a mod before.

Very nice man, very smooth through Hammerhead, but Stig was going wider at the exit, probably F1 line) Still great lap, and a time as well!
