The US looks down on Iran? Hehe, I've seen it the other way around, every iranian I've met in america has an arrogant superiority complex towards americans.

FACT: The religious minorities were highly active and in all aspects of life during the monarchy. In today's Iran: Religious minorities CAN NOT enter positions of importance in the government. That includes appointments to head departments, officer corps, teaching, etc.

FACT: The Iranians would choose Liberal Democracy in a NY minute!
