  • Saw these guys at Glastonbury not having any idea who they were, they stole the show and all they had was the little ol' acoustic tent. RIP A.L. the immortal.

  • @7th75thCallaghan Oh NO! A.L. died???

  • wow :D

  • Can't say anything more. Listened in the late 60's and still listening!

  • I am 62 years old and my 15-year-old son turned me on to Arthur Lee and Love last year. I think that says so much about the universal appeal of him and Love, and that this music will be loved for years as long as poeple are exposed to it.

  • What Bob Dylan said about Gordon Lightfoot songs kind of sums it up for Love, too: you wish they would go on forever.

  • love this. such a pity i never got to see him live. when i first heard this song, i thought he was saying ann morgan.

  • RIP

  • Wow, is he in great voice.

  • Listening to this, I feel pretty ashamed not to have seen him play when he came to Manchester. I am wearing a dunce's cap right now, cleaning the egg off my face :..(

  • Lovely Demented Andmoreagain just Gorgeous. Lee gave all he had

  • is the kind of song you never get tired of hearing,

Arthur Lee for me, was and remains a genius, even

    remaining in the underground today.

their music and the album Forever Changes

are sublime for me and one of the best album ever made.

  • RIP Arthurrrr

  • the moat underrated artist in rock story. just he did creted love and peace philosophy and hippy living way. he so great like BEATLES and STONES and BOB DYLAN; Rest In Peace ARTHUR LEE.

  • I was lucky to run to the store for all my Love LP's as they were released.... Arthur Lee and Bryan Maclean, Johnny Echols, Ken Forssi, Snoopy....The original LOVE....When Forever Changes came out they had gone to the greatness that only Elektra artists could achieve with superior recordings...Bruce Botnick thank you too!!!

  • I saw him during this tour in Hollywood. House of Blues...he was better than great!! Best concert I've been to! My husband got free tickets to this from answering a question on a radio show! What luck!!

  • Thanks JJ for pointing me to this, Tx

  • I definitely agree!...I love this album and i cant stop listening to it!...How i wish i was born during those times!....anyone have a time machine?!

  • fuckin love this band

  • sorry supaduck my last response was kind of an onrunning sentence. I'm kicking it in the backyard and don't want to try and find all the keys.. just the illumunation of the screen is going. Didn't feel like looking for all the puncuations and such :)

  • This dude was brilliant. Disturbed a bit, but Brilliant.

  • @lifepod2036 how was he disturbed?

  • @Supaduck0 He had lots of problems in life and took out his anger a few times from I read. He wasn;t happy. I really love his music but I wouldn't have been with him in the early mid years.. but in his finally day, he really had a hard time and it comes out so much in his music. His music was never this good in the past. I'm amazed at this concert of how good it sounds for being live. But he did this while suffering from cancer. Shit... i could go on. great performer he was.

  • I just discovered this very talented artist and it's making my day !

  • @misspetedoherty

    Yep.

THE most underrated talent of all, Arthur Lee. (And he marched to the beat of his own drum.)

    R.I.P.

  • heartbreakingly beautiful. Simple and soaring. Gentle and solid. The first full breath of love and the feeling that lingers even after the memories are forgotten. This song transcends language. It's just something we know inside.

  • This is fabulous

  • God bless Arthur Lee

  • Jim was not a goon even not in your dreams, .after your death, we shall not know any more whom you are.....

  • I wish it could be like this again.

  • an absolutely brilliant album~one of my favourite listening since it came out~thanks

  • Wow amazing!!

  • Takes a long time but sometimes greatness is eventually recognized. Arthur and Love deserve great respect.

  • working with A L was more than an honor - if only i had known it at the time.

    He will surely be missed.

    JC

  • @2short2q As well as Bryan Maclean ... who originally sang this song, and wrote it.

  • @elleboucher Andmoreagain was written by Arthur Lee and Bryan MacLean...It was sung by Arthur. MacLean performed the lead vocal on Old Man...

  • How lucky I was to have caught this tour...

  • Es la mejor rola de ese jodido gran album, de ese jodido gran año musical 1967!!!

  • fantastic album

  • emozioni.....

  • i saw them live touring on their first album in santa barbara calif at earl warren show grounds, I was about 13 or 14....... it was a great show

  • I wonder if JIm morrison was listening to love cos i see some similarities on some The Doors song and Forever Changes's song.Brilliant Album BTW.WOW:)

  • It was Arthur Lee who recommended The Doors to the Elektra label. ALL of us listened to Love ... they didn't tour much, but, when they did, we came out in droves to see them. Just the best! Better than Springfield; Airplane; all of them. Everyone knew it.

  • @kikibortok Jim Morrison was a goon compared to this guy. He was a cock rocker and a lizard king prick. Yeah, he was cool, but so what.

  • Great! Brilliant! Simply fabulous!

Yes, a masterpiece! This song has seen me through many a day...

  • A real masterpiece! I'm speechless...

  • the people in the know about music rate love consistently as making the best album of all time in forever changes!

  • highly recommended collectors edition 2 cd of forever changes from last year elektra and rhino did justice on this classic peace Bean68

  • What a genius he was!! Such beautiful melodies!!

  • Forever LOVE !!!, Rest in peace Arthur lee , D.

  • Sounds just like the album. Brilliant.

  • Arthur Lee great man great Artist

    "forever change"

    a timless beauty album

  • best band ever!!!!!!!!!

  • Great , great music.

I am fortunate that my local and once great station,WHFS, played a lot of Love.

    Beautiful.

  • barely recognized in 60's nice going children gives me hope back the kids ARE alright

  • greatest musician ever!!

  • What a gorgeous song...

  • His beautiful voice and words tear up my heart. There will never be another Arthur Lee.

  • This song is beautiful, Arthur Lee will ALWAYS stand for ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE.............I really miss him.

    peace on you Stefan

  • Arthur ci manchi...

  • I'm someone who lives for music but cannot play a single note... but what a beautiful looking guitar that is being played by the young lad to the left of Arthur. I presume it's a Gretsch. Maybe not but anyhow if there were a museum of the 10 most beautiful things ever created by mankind then Gretsch guitars would be there.

  • Comment removed

  • No unfortunately it's not a Gretsch. It's a Gibson ES-335 series. The white color suits more to Gretsch guitars rather than Gibsons...

  • Thanks.

  • YEAH!!! Arthur rockz.

    I will not forget him!

  • Excellent video/song.

It is a damn shame Arthur Lee died after this video. Allthe fine talent from this man could never be duplicated..brings me back to my 20's and 1968

  • I,ll never ever get tired of Forever Changes. Its like breathing.moving.being.

  • i agree!, on a hippy buzz tonight and really loving Love!, i guess LOVE is all you need?!!

  • WOW!

  • omg. Forever Changes, hands down the MOST UNDERRATED and conversely, the one of the best rock albums of the past century, including this band! Seminal, beautifully melodic...thought provoking and clever.

  • UNDERRATED? At the time, but it now turns up in turn about every list of great albums, and deservedly so.

  • I think it should be touted and spoke on in the same breath as sgt. pepper or even a pet sounds, etc. The notoriety today, BECAUSE it didn't receive the credit it deserved back then, thus leaving it a "buried tresure", seems more nostalgic rather than being iconic in nature. Although it's a gem of an album, music-snobs or afficianados seem to know more about it, compared to the mainstream audience.

  • I agree, it just takes a little longer to realise its beauty, but when you do, it can keep you warm, and i mean this.

  • you nailed it.

  • who seriously needs the beatles!? i would rather listen to love!, they are a bit more special i think a thought in my head my dear!, there you go they are in my head!, explains everything!

  • I do need the Beatles

  • Heartbreakingly lovely...

  • arthur lee is tttthhheee best! beatles and stones are nnnnnoooootttthhhhiiiinnnnnngggg compared to this true prodigy!

  • Magic, haunting, ethereal. Sadly missed.

  • It's wonderful to hear his voice solo----I love LOVE and wouldn't ever want to give up "Forever Changes", but this really gives the song a new dimesion. Thanks for sharing.

  • this man? and his music? has made my life worth it all.even the pain. God Bless and keep you Arthur. Lee.

  • i listen to music 7 or 8 hours a day it seems and this is the lp i have listened to the most in the past few years, 'FOREVER CHANGES'.

  • Ive never heard it the same twice but Ive kept listening

  • Arthur and his friends in Love created some of the most timeless music to come out of the 60's. Only the Beatles affected me in the same timeless way as this band. Love, in a mysterious way, defined the California music scene in a way that stands the test of time.

  • if you dont get chills listening to this you must be dead, awesome

  • Arthur Lee, cool as fuck

  • Fantástico

  • what else can you say love man love i saw aurtheur once at the corner hotel in richmond melb by chance what a show what a night so many didnt realise the legend they were watching
