Yes, it's similar to the erik mongrain tuning except for one note. Then i have it capo'd up one whole step because it's easier to play that guitar with the nut height eliminated.

I love many instruments too, i play a little piano, bass and drums, and as much as it hurt me, i sold my drums and piano to focus ONLY on my guitar playing.

The guitar spoke to my soul, when you find the instrument that speaks to YOUR soul .. it will naturally take over.

Thanks for noticing, I'm trying to find note combinations that not even Beethoven played .. haha .. this almost has a "non-melody" it's more of a "evolving musical texture".

The story behind it is .. i was just watching a video by flea from the chili peppers .. he was demonstrating his funk popping & i was like yeah .. i wanna do something like that .. & thats how it all started.

The parts past the intro are my favorite parts :)

I'm specifically fond of the part that has a "machine" like sound .. remenicent of pink floyd welcome to the machine ..

also that beginning has that raw sound of "wish you were here.

no its not necessary to have an amp .. but its better .. i like to crank the amp pretty high and play very softly for some songs .. harmonics are louder and have longer sustain ..

but its fun with or without an amp ..

just different ..
