By the way...I think TTD is better than KK because TTD has lap bars (Freedom!) while KK has over-the-shoulder restraints (Locked in...). Also, TTD was built first. Six Flags was just being a copy cat. :P

Kingda ka may be a bit taller and faster but when you ride both you hardly see the difference. TTD is better imo and for most coaster enthusiasts out there b/c the lapbar gives you more freedom which makes the ride ultimately more exciting and scarier when being launched at 120mph in 2 seconds. Compare similar speeds while being locked in the harness restraints, still fun but you definitely feel more safe and secure which takes away from feeling the adrenaline rush.

IMO, I think Kingda Ka is scarier (I'm not saying it's better). In fact, I don't like Kingda Ka because the horse collar restraints make me feel claustrophobic and not in control. My body is highly sensitive to acceleration, and I have to get into different positions to prevent my stomach from feeling "butterflies". On TTD, I can hug my lap bar to lower the tingly sensation in my stomach, but on KK, I am stuck sitting upright. Top Thrill Dragster is more fun, but KK is scarier.

shoulder harrnesses suck, u just hit your head on the side, lapbars give a much better coaster experience. i havent rode either kingda ka or dragster but i would guess that dragster is more fun beacause it has lap bars instead of shoulder harrnesses

Kingda Ka has comfy OTSRs (over the shoulder restraints). They are these thin straps that come down over your shoulders (called "horse collars"), rather than those solid bulky ones found on looping and inverted/floorless coasters. In fact, most people's torsos don't come into contact with them. You don't even notice they are there. Your head and ears don't take a beating on this ride.

Even though the OTSRs on KK are designed differently, ever Intamin coaster I've been on with those restraints have given me trouble - not so with Intamin lap bars. I know what you mean. However, I think that the OTSRs make it scarier. This is because I sense acceleration very well, and I have to hug my lapbar to get rid of the intense "butterflies" sensation. On KK, I am stuck sitting upright, making it impossible to hug the lapbar. Keep in mind that this is only my opinion, and I'm probably the only person in the world like this.

Funniest crap is that 2% of ppl posting have ridden on both the Ka and the Dragster;those that have,know the thrill difference when it comes to a lap bar vs. a harness;then you add a theme and anticipation like waiting on a line,hearing an engine roar,the hiss of the brakes dropping,and 5 secs later going.....sorry Ka fans, the dragster is scarier,has better view,and isnt out of comission for the season!

Firstly; this was built years before Kingda Ka.

Secondly; they are not identical, height, speed and elements are all different. They are similar.

Thirdly; parks around the world build rides that are similar and identical to each other all the time, all they do is simply buy a product from the coaster manufacturers, which in this case is Intamin AG.

Fourthly; why would it matter if it was an exact copy? means that people around NJ don't have to travel to Ohio to ride a ride like this.

I went to Cedar Point very soon after becoming interested in roller coasters, and I think that in a way it has spoiled all my other coaster experiences since. It was just too amazing. After riding TTD, there really isn't much taller or faster, and there really aren't more intense G-forces (except maybe on some Schwarzkopf loopers). Now, I ride coasters like Kraken and such and they just feel like kiddie coasters. And I think I've lost my capacity for negative g's. :(
