  • okay sounds cool call me at 603-660-9151 to contact me about them also whats you numba i cant find it

  • well idk if you still breed these guys but i dont see them on your website...where'd you get those from i need like 5 pairs

  • @smamouthbassrigs Yes, I do breed them, there a black morph form of the G. portentosa. I have been waiting for them to produce and grow to see if the young keep there color and so far they appear to stay black. I have hundreds, maybe thousands mixed sizes. I need to go through and separate the colony before I know what I have. Been trying to do that now for the past three months. I'll check this weekend to see if I have 5 pairs and let you know.

  • what do you feed these roaches to? it seems any reptile would choke on them LOL. great video 5 stars =D

  • People feed hissers to large tarantulas, centipedes, large lizards like monitors and tegu's. This particular species of hisser is a little rarer than the normal Madagascar hissers and are generally sold as pets because they get huge, live up to 4-5 years and make a great display.

  • Thanks Matt. The females are pretty cool. The males hiss and scurry away.

  • Nice vid...i have a male and a female.They're a pretty cool species.

  • I sure need a colony, but wife hates roaches,Do not no why because crickets i keep are loud and they stink..Need to get a few just to get her comfortable with them.Wish me luck.LOL

  • When I first wanted roaches, both my wife and mom said NO. After researching for 2 weeks on the subject and explaining to them they won't infest the house, etc... they agreed to let me have them. Now I have 5 different species. Every once in awhile mom comes across one loose, she kills it and goes on with her business. Mom is good with her cane. My wife refuses to call them roaches. We refer to them as "bugs" in this household. Well, good luck, don't give up.

  • That is hilarious, hey got to have my wife read this.Where we used to live was infested with roaches.Where i life now I spent years catching geckos and anoles from friends house and work and bringing them home and turning loose. Now we have A LOT!! of those guys running around So do not have a problem with roaches any more.I think when I eventually get a colony the will be afraid to get out of their enclosure.. THANKS man

  • Living in S. Calif. we have the B. lateralis roaches outdoors and have never had an infestation. That species acclimated about 4 years ago here. In the Spring & Summer months they wander in through the front door and head straight to my room. I'm guessing due to all the food and other roaches. Most feeders roaches are from a tropical region and don't do well here in the states. With the exception of FL and a few other S. States. Keep trying...

  • cool video greg when would they be for sale?greg my roache's dont seem to like the roach chow, what else did you feed them,?

    ~eduardo

  • Thanks...I have a few ready now. With the small amount of roaches you have, it will be awhile before you notice them eating the roach chow. 1 of my colonies of 2k-3k+ go through that much food every 3 days. I feed mine what your feeding plus oranges now and then.
