  • You are a beast. How much do you train bench? I kinda think maybe 'less is more'.

  • he got past the half way point to the 3/4 mark... he doesn't need to lock out.. Good reps.. good set...

  • GREAT SET

  • first 4 wasnt your arms straight up so it doesnt count, it is only half lifting. From 0:18 you do it right with straight arms, that is 5!

  • @kozmums #1 there is a technical term for "straight arm" its called locking out

#2 locking out is bad for your joints because it puts all the weight/pressure directly on the joints.

#3 he went past half way

So no your wrong those 4 were reps and honeslty not going all the way up is more of a rep then locking out because when you lock out there is a short resting period at the top, unlike what he did, he went almost to the top and didnt lock out which causes the strain of the weight to

  • @kozmums (continued) constantly push down on his muscles AKA no rest

  • If it was a bad day why didnt you make a video on a good day ?

  • That's a good,bad day.

  • locking your elbows takes the stress off of your pecs and your triceps...going up without locking them is better form and a better workout

  • Your not suppose to lock out on reps. Look at pro bodybuilders. All you fuckers with the comments are the D bags who take N.O explode 6x a day and bench press 5 days a wk with only a pair of 45's on the bar and think your lil 170lb asses are swoll. Eat shit and sign up for step class.

  • @live4liftin not really. power lifters lockout. idiots who aren't bodybuilders but keep on following bodybuilding routines normally whine about that sort of thing. but you probably already know this.

  • all you guys with negative comments. shut your fucking mouth. Pussies

  • haha all these guys are haters. when you do reps you never lock out on anything

  • ok fright you need to breath

second do a full rep not a mini rep

  • your extensions are good. fuck all these people.

  • stupid fuck, not locking out your elbows ruins them in the long run because you don't strengthen your joints. When you have a large muscle belly and weak tendons or joints (to describe all tissues around the muscles edge) you tear muscles. Thats why bodybuilders tear their triceps when they throw a ball. Your joints need to bear weight to get stronger and the stronger they are the better they feel as long as you don't go nuts with it.

  • @MadiBebe Joints dont strengthen as fast as muscles. In fact it takes a very long time. You have it backwards. In the long run if you keep locking out on pressin movements then your joints will be fucked up. You tear muscles when the tendons aren't strong enough to bear the weight so the tear off the bone.

  • I know it's easier to cheat and not do full ROM, but come on man, if your gonna post a vid claiming to do it do it right.

  • How do you mean? He's doing them just fine, locking elbows ruins your joints in the long run.

  • dude i count that as 10 nice job

  • only a select few can bench 1.5x their body weight. You are that select few. Damn what's your secret? i'm 145 and can only bench 180 8reps and i REALLY want to increase it to 215 what's your secret??????? how long have you been benching? Cuz i started 8months ago and wanna know how long it will take for me to get there. advice please

  • take a full week off then Hit 4 sets of 6 last set add 5 pounds to the bar every week on the last set of 6 and you should get stronger every week

  • hes fucking 209 lbs benching 315 for 9 and he pretty much got 10 jus had little help impressive neways

  • whats supposed to be wrong with his extension?! good stuff dude!

  • that was more like 11 or 12

  • Hahaha.. At the end of the video, the last rep... The spotter is obviously rowing the weight yelling.. "It's all you" ... CLASSIC :)

  • hes barely helping him dude....check out the spotters arms they are barely flexing....it really was "all him" (the bencher)

  • Ask any professional BB and they will tell you that locking out is a NO NO. WHen you lock out to take the resistance off the muscles and put it on the joints. If you want big muscles use a good range of motion but dont completely lock out.

After looking at this vid, id say the form is actually pretty good.

  • yes i lockedmy knees on leg press and i now have holes in my knee cartlidge i am 30 , think my weight days are over, i only started gymn around age 29 1/2 go i wish i hadnt joined gymm

  • So does anyone on youtube know how to lock out their arms?...terrible form...would not have counted a single one in a BP meet

  • now thats impressive for your size wat do u whey bout 230 pounds?

  • nah at that time i was 215...Thanks though.

  • wow so wat r you around ya chest and wat were yr bicep measurements then and nw? all natural by the looks of it too aye?

  • Thank you....coming from someone as strong as you it means much...You are one of the best benchers I've ever seen.

  • What's your max at?When i was at 9 reps with 315 i was benching 395 to 400 lbs.

  • I don't know I really stay away from the low rep stuff.....Actually I've been going a little heavier lately and my shoulders are hurtin'

  • Great job man. That was my best also...although that was a while ago.Now i'm a few reps under that, anyway keep up the grat lifting!
