It seems a majority of this footage is of 1st platoon B co from 1-14 inf. Thats who I deployed with and thats who is on the roof top. Earlier in the video it was also our patch. 1-14 Inf was the main body in along with tank support from the big red 1. I don't really know who 1/26th Inf is.
optics have to be requisitioned by an officer, you need to go to your infantry officer and supply probable cause that you would be more officiant with the gear you want.most units and company's bought them from civilian supplier's or off/on base suppliers..
how do you go about getting things for your weapons? i noticed that some didnt have forward grips on their M4's while some do and some have different scopes. do you just ask for one?
They issue it to who they feel fit. Also a lot of those soldiers bought there own shit scopes and everything. But the armor issues after consent of the commander.
When when I was there I was a little under an hour away from Sammarra. Some of my company was there. Opitcs depends on your unit. If your unit has an armory that is full then everyone will get one for the M-4 or M 16. You can buy your own I had a scope on my M 16 cause they wouldn't give me optics. I saw people buying the rail systems and even saw a guy buy a M203 Grenade Launcher from the civilian sector but that is where they drew the line on the civilian stuff. Told him no 203
No because the mosin nagant was built in such large numbers in WWII even today there are a few of them that make their way to the modern battle field, manly for sniping but yes they do still have some in use. They work just fine just point at the enemy and pull the trigger. I'm not saying the Americans are the enemy but yeah.
I love seeing those m-14's still being used, those terrorists over there wont get up after being hit with one of those... Anyways, safe journeys to the troops.
Which is why Cheyney lets companies like Blackwater do their dirty work. Private little armies no-one sees. Your words are what Generals said during Vietnam war.
You can't forget 1-18 INF being there...or 1-7...had to save some 1-26 ass.

@ctrackmonger What are the chances of being issued optic? Is it more common to be issued optics or to have to buy your own?

you obviously don't know shit. the M14 is not from WWII and it is still a fabulous rifle. powerful, reliable, and very accurate.

just because the cameras didn't catch any good fights dosnt mean they didn't happen. The worst fights are where the cameras dont dare go
