How to sync Google Calendar on your BlackBerry

The calendar just changed formats. I synced my calender to my BB several days ago and had terrible results.

It created 20+ duplicate recurring events off of each existing recurring event. Where on one day I had one event, I now have 20+ additional duplicate recurrences for each event on every day it was to recur. On my Blackberry there are now so many events the calendar is unreadable.

Can anyone help? Sprint had my phone 4 hours, reinstalling the software, after an update crashed it

@carole7777 i think the issue is that the blackberry ALREADY has wireless sync for contacts AND calendar provided by BES (your wireless provider)

so when you have google sync it syncs TWICE with the wireless synchronization and google sync...

i dont even see the purpose of google sync

@carole7777 if you decide to use google sync you have to disable wireless synchronization on the calendar and the contacts or you will get duplicates on every update...so within a day you will have 300 calendar entries of the same thing and itll stall your device

@rsxhitman picture 15 hours of deleting, which is the time I calculated it would take me to delete the # of duplicate entries in my calendar @ 6 seconds a delete.

@carole7777 you can clear your whole calendar on google(dot)com/calendar, dropdown on "my calendars" , and there will be a delete button on the main calendar...

you can also delete in google sync , menu-> options, menu -> reset calendar sync

this will wipe your whole calendar

I had my google calendar and blackberry in sync. For unknown reasons, it stopped syncing (please excuse spelling)? If I resync it, will I lose everything?

I downloaded sync to my blackberry. When I go to sign in for the first time, I get an error message that says, "Login failed, due to network problems, check your settings." I have looked everywhere, Sprint nor Google knows what to do and I can't find any helpful info on the chats. Please help. thanks!

Nice video. I have one question. I am able to sync my main Google Calendar to my BB 8900 but I am not able to add my other Google calendars. I found a work around, to share my other calendar's with my main one, but that leaves events as busy and leaves out the details of the event. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help.
