Keith moon is not one of the greatest drummers of all Time!!!!! Stop saying he is a legend cuz he isn't!!! He really wasnt that great of a drummer no disrespect but he was an entertainer. He was wild and charismatic and that's way made him a good drummer. He didn't have great technique either but he was always fun to watch. To the comment about Keith Moon being sloppy, etc. This was a point in his life where he was not in good health (drugs, etc). Look at his work from '64 through '73. He was very calculating and used triplets, and different time signatures more than anyone. Buddy Rick and Gene Krupa both commented on his expertise. Yes, he did get sloppy as his addictions took over, but to this day he has done things on the drums that no others have been able to replicate. He also had lessons.

Not a good solo, but his performance was always dictated by the level of his inebriation, which, toward the end of his life, made his playing awful. But check out any live performance from the early 70s to hear him at his best.

zobazoba is correct. Keith's drumming here is pretty bad. But when playing with Pete and John, especially between 1967-1971, he was brilliant. I learned everything I know about drumming from Keith when I was young. Solos were not his field.

All you have to do is listen to the drums on most Who tracks and you'll see what i meen, it's like he's doing drum solos in every song. @jd6735 Neil Peart and RUSH almost disbanded (you know why I'm sure sad story) but look at them today. A whole new generation of younger people who didn't know them before now do and love them. Some because it's the mainstream all over again (though rush didn't seem mainstream). As a matter of fact I think they're well respected more now by a huge audience age/demographic then they ever where before. So who knows what Keith would be doing now or a new wave of popularity well deserved.
