What a terrible movie. It would have been ok, if they hadn't tried to pretend it had anything at all to do with John Constantine. They should have just called it "Joe Demonfighter" or something and not tried to pass it off as even slightly related to the Hellblazer books.
And Reeves was a terrible casting choice, unless the only thing you care about is the greenlight. Get a big name, and the studio will make the movie.
Here's hoping some day someone makes a halfway decent Hellblazer movie.

The writers of the Hellblazer comics (Jamie Delano and Garth Ennis) are writing a new script....and you should really HOPE they get your ideal guy to play Constantine this time. Me? I'm fine with Keanu returning. Thanks :).

There's nothing concrete on this 'Constanteen' 2 on IMDB as to wheither it would have Reeves or not or even if it would be a sequel to 'Constanteen' or a complete reboot.
He smokes in the cup.. bcuz he's sitting there pondering his life after he finds out he's dying from lung cancer. He captures the spider running around his table in the cup, blows smoke into it and states that that is what his life is like. Like he's trapped in a cage filled with cig smoke.

Brian Azzarello and Mike Carey, The reason I'll never care anything for the 'Constanteen' film is basically that John Constantine was rendered toothless and unmemorable as opposed to a memorable bastard of an antihero thanks to Keanu Reeves plus the film storyline was dumbed down from the dark tale Garth Ennis gave us.
