That is just simply an amazing rendition. I have just started to learn this song in the last few weeks. How long did it take you to do that so well and which sheet music did you use before you added your own touch to it?
Wow that was great! =] I hate to criticize this (it's better than I could ever play) but do you feel that you played it a little fast? You had a couple slip ups it seemed because of the speed. Overall it was amazing though, keep up the good work =]
good job sir!! =) one of the "truest to Elton" versions on here! And I'm an Elton connoisseur, so I know these things! lol. I DO agree with the comment below about the missing lead-line. Buuut, seems like your intention is mainly piano-playing.. and at that, you're rockin man! ;-) I can't sing a lick (UGH!) so even though I tried (just) one (so far) Elton song on here, I HIGHLY recommend ear plugs, to ANYone that listens!!!! : )~ But again, you have EJ's playing style down pat on this. applauds!
La più bella cover di questo stupendo brano che ho ascoltato su youtube. Spero di mettere in rete la mia. Ma sono italiano e non credo di riuscire a rendere l'esecuzione con feeling britannico. Bravissimo.
this is amazing, you are amazing at piano. its so pleasant to listen to. i watched this over and over again. i love this song so much, one of my favorites. keep up the great work!
Really good work, but (me now being very picky) please can you either play the lyrics as well, or sing, as its is missing this fundamental melody part. Hope this is constructive as it is meant.
the song is about a strained father and son relationship- a dad you holds onto tradition and a son who longs to break with such confines. No batter what Levon (the father) believes in "tradition" Notice the word play..
wow! i never noticed that!! "Be-lieve on" =) hmm i wonder if Taupin actually had that in mind? Wouldnt surprise me. Wow, after aaaaall these years, and you pointed that out! thanks ;-)
Its about an old man who faught in a war. Since, he has started a family business in which his son is a major part. But his son wants to do something else in his life. But is held back by keeping his father happy with the buisiness.
hello. my advice would be to go easy on the pedal :) your fingerwork is good, but the tune gets pretty blurred (it might be caused by the mic, but I don't think so)
Where is the meter all through the intro? It's straight 4/4 time.
The original is also played quite delicately. It's obvious you can play the song, but I think the perfomance would benefit from slowing to the original tempo and reviewing the dynamics of Elton's recording.
This one was a little better than yer Candle In The Wind. Maybe a little less FULL chords would give it a 'cleaner' sound IMO. But cool enuff as it is!
