As for the IRS - just look up "The Fair Tax" and you will see that plan is all written out and in place - that's the basis of Ron Paul's system.

Australia isn't in much better shape, the RBA is a private corp, they print money and raise rent rates whenever they please, the government takes on more debt from them that you and I pay through taxes. It's ridiculous. Getting media coverage for Ron Paul in Australia might seriously upset the political balance here, because it might just start to get people thinking..

gallomex - rich people are always rich, regardless of the type of political system they are in. but poor people can only get rich in a free market. we in the US are currently in a partly-socialized market. it could be a lot better. Ron Paul would put health care back on the open market (where prices would drop on individual polices), get rid of federal income tax (you keep what you earn, as you should)...things that help everybody, but they make the biggest difference for the poor.

How to dismantle IRS? Can't be done in one week, 16th amendment must repealed and we have to get rid of the Fed Reserve (add gold/silver currency to compete with fiat money). Where will money come from? If we had no income tax (with proper spending cuts) we'd be as the same amt of money as 2000.
