  • After putting the third spring on i had no getting out of tune problem again. Changing the springs with new fresh ones would help better and it won't effect floyd rose.

  • i have the same guitar but its modded like the shit i love it to death but its only problem is it detunes so easy but now that problems fixed and will be the beast i want it to be

  • I didn't have to use wood but it pretty much is essential to block the trem if you want it to stay in tune at all

  • and hav u put the third spring urself or was it there in stock? i don't hav it :S

  • @KanistriPoiss I had it with my guitar. So i put in in

    cheers

  • @KanistriPoiss I have it as a stock part for mine

  • how thick was the piece of wood u used? :)

  • is there a guitar similar to this but without the "un-tuning" problem

  • @jorddogga no but there is a lot of worse ones (at same price)

  • are you finnish? ow german? austrian? swedish? :) just wondering

  • @cejason I'm german ;o)

  • ugh i can't get the damn springs back on almost had it flang me in the face

  • no i dont think fixing a floyd rose will make the guitar sound better....dont do this job !!

  • @sridhar123ish It's not meant to make the guitar sound better :D It's just because the guitar gets out of tune veeeeeeery easy

  • this really helped, it was so annoying that it kept detuning. Thanks!

  • hey man, i really need help. i have a grg150 fat10 bridge. my problem is i noticed that the trem block has so many cracks and 1 time i was using the tremolo(just lightly not abusing it.) and suddenly some parts of the trem block just peels of. wtf! help please.

  • @lestervai I see what your problem is, but I can't help you because nothing like that ever happend to me. I would just walk in a music store and ask someone what you can do. Guitar players are often friendly to one of their kind :D

I hope you can solve your problem!

    Cheers

  • nice attempt brother, but make another video in the light, i seriously need your help.. thankyou!

  • stupid guitar , buy a better one if you have the $

  • @GoldBat12 Well u r stupid too but we can't buy a new one right siilly

  • @GoldBat12 it's actually much better then other guitars in it's price range, currently beginning guitar and it's a wonder to learn on

  • @GoldBat12 For what you pay for this guitar, u get great quality except the tremolo. It is a great beginners guitar, and also beyond that it is just good

  • @GoldBat12 idiot, is a wonderful guitar!

  • is possible to like put a floyd rose on this man? like i know you'll have to cut it and shit but would that make this guitar a much better instrument to play?

  • @backjansz Well I think all the work you have to put in it and the costs for the floyd rose system plus all the trouble with adjustment, drilling holes somewhere and cutting some wood out of the guitar to make the floyd rose even fit is much more than the guitar is worth. If you really want a floyd rose look for another Ibanez guitars. They have some decent ones for an acceptable price - Ok these are systems licencenced by floyd rose but the normally are better in my opinion.

    hope that helps:)

  • @backjansz there is a a dearer version of this guitar that has a floyd rose the 270 it think the model is

  • Nice Video! Is there a problem if i put all the way down the tremolo?

  • @tecmanGR It could be that the strings constantly touch the frets and that you can't play decent anymore but you have to try ;o) And don't forget to tune before you try ;o)

  • If i put microtune?

  • I did nearly the same on my grg170, nowdays I go down to our basement to practice, the colder basement always messed up my tuning, so half the time I just tuned the guitar, not played it. :D I get sick of it, so I fixed the tremolo, now its hold the tune (and its much easier to tune it now, if I have to.)

btw, I love this guitar, the only problem is just the tremolo.

  • lol organic chemistry in the background :D

  • also meinste damit ich muss einfach nur das tremolo so machen dann klingt die besser oder was meinste ?

  • @DieLolenTrupp Der Klang bleibt genau gleich. Es geht darum, dass sich die Gitarre dann nicht mehr so leicht verstimmt, nur weil du beim Abdämpfen ausversehen mit dem Handballen aufs Tremolo gedrückt hast etc.

  • well i am getting this guitar and i am realy new to play guitar.

What is tremolo and what is the problem that i hear from alot of people ?

    : D?

  • @privacyyyyy I haver no Idea how that trem

is called. The Problem is that it won't stay

in tune if you use it and it will maybe get out of

tune even if you don't use it. So as I said in the video

it's a great guitar for the price but the thing that

than annoys is the trem. So I blocked it and it works perfectly fine for me ;)

    cheers

  • @Golwy FAT 10 und er hat dich gefragt was ein Tremolo ist

  • @privacyyyyy A tremolo is a bridge with moving parts that allow to change the string tension temporarily while playing. The one shown here is a pivoting bridge. One problem with a lot of trem systems is that the guitar goes oout of tune if you use the tremolo excessively.

  • dude! Can you make a video on how to lower the action of that guitar? (ibanez grg170dx) I really need to lower the action of my guitar. PLEASE!

  • What exactly do you mean with lower the action?

Sorry I don't really get the point

    cheers

  • a guitar with a low action means it has low strings so it is easier to press on the strings, there is little gap between the fret board and the string making the guitar extremely easy to play, have you done that?

  • you can lower the hight of the tremolo by using the srcews left and right on the trem but afterwards you need to adjust the neck... So you better go to you dealer and pay a little money and have it done right ;) I did that too.

  • all right, that's what I thought too, thanks anyway for the replies. cheers ^_^

  • nevermind ;) Good luck and keep on rocking \m/

  • I too found the default height (2.1mm) to be a bit high for my playing..

Ive set mine to an ULTRALOW 1.1 mm now which gives SLIGHT fret buzz when played acoustic

and found that 1.5mm is the best setting for this guitar without compromising sound and playability. READ the manual , it explains all these adjustment. But is you are a newbie, i STRONGLY Reccomend you not to touch anything unless u have expert advice, better get it done by a proven tech in a music store.

  • i have a question guys, if i did this putting a wood to block the tremolo, can i no longer use the trem?, or i can use it even if i blocked it? help

  • You can use it to make the note lower if you do this fix. But it isn't my advice to use it because it doesn't really hold the tuning perfect if you use it.

    I hope that somehow helps

  • just did this to my ibanez. but i blocked it on the other side only and it works just fine.

  • Hi,do you keep the piece of wood inside while tuning,or do you put it in after you have tuned the guitar, thanks.

  • I leave it inside while I'm tuning and while I'm playing and everytime ;o)

    Hope that helps you

    cheers Golwy

  • Seems to work,thanks

  • Comment removed

  • damm xD, i had to make this fix too on my ibanez 170

  • first!

  • :P thx for that awesome comment :D
