@JoeMoSexuals It's because you don't know the actual definition of Dubstep, only certain characteristics make dubstep, and obnoxious noise isn't one of them. the 1 2 rythem scheme is the main factor that makes something dubstep. It originated from Britian, when British DJs got a hold of Jamacan Dub, and wanted to immitate it with their own style, using a 'step' rythem, which has that 'boom BOOM' sound. nowadays it's associated with that stupid wubbing and generally mind raping noise

I'm afraid the Moriarty decide these kinds of things, since music is such an open thing, you can judge for your self, and decide if something is a certain genre, Genre it self is such a lose generalisation of what it is, used to help explain a song Nothing more, Dubstep it self, that is probably the most confused one and there is no true answer.

I think people don't understand the idea of Dubstep anymore. Ever since it got a slightly larger following, people think any old noise that has enough wubbing is dubstep. Thats just noise pretending to be music. The first half of this song is dubstep, the second half is stupid, seizure inducing noise.
