  • is this the gibson brothers

  • @blonde7000 This song is called Over Under Sideways Down by The Yardbirds. I am playing it using a Gibson guitar!

  • Love it. You got the Beck vibe down and at the end it sounds like you even throw in a dash of Page as well. It is very fitting.

  • that looks like a blast to play, with i could get ahold of some tab or sheet music

  • nice playing...The rythm is the hardest part of this song to make sound good.

  • the guitar isn't a marauder(S-1)???

  • take the music out so i could hear your cool playin!!!

  • what guitar is that. i know its a gibson but i cant think of the model.

  • @chubbymosher700 It's a Gibson S-1, peace

  • @Rafterman123 woah, thats an oldie! how did you get your hands on that?

  • @chubbymosher700 It was passed down to me, so it's been around for as long as I can remember!

  • Great job man! keep rocking

  • hey man, you think you can maybe give me these tabs? i can't find good ones anywhere

  • OMG! i love this song! great playing! it looked like so much FUN!

  • what fuzz pedal are you using for this?

  • Hey Im using a Jim Dunlop fuzz-wah pedal for this, thanks for subscribing!

  • A Gibson? I never seen one like that. Nice playin!

  • Nice, man. What kind of amp are you using? I like the tone.

  • Thanks, I was using a Marshall AVT series amp with a little bit of fuzz i think

  • Nice! Hey after that very first lick can you tell me the notes or frets youre playing? i can never figure that

  • The song is in the key of G major.

They mix the pentatonic minor and major scale of G.

Im not sure if this is the real version hes playing, but I believe when Page played it with the Yardbirds he used a G major bar chord and played a little riff in the G minor pentatonic scale on the 3rd fret.

If you know what all that means, you should be able to improvise something.

  • Thanks! i sat down last night playing the song and really tried to figure out that intro lick and i think i got it. Thanks for telling me the key because that helps. Would a g major be like a Eb minor pentatonic?

  • G major pentatonic is also the E minor pentatonic not Eb

  • Hey, yea JRindee pretty much got it right, just play around with a G bar chord and sort of skip along with the off-beat. Thats pretty much what was done on the studio recording, but the guitar is mixed down so much that its hard to hear exactly what he is doing. He did liven it up a bit in live recordings and you can hear that he embellishes it a bit more, but stays in that G bar area with the root of G on the bass, hope that helps. LZ rules, peace out

  • I can't believe you would steal Brian May's axe!

  • hehe it's not the same, mines a Gibson S-1

  • awesome cover man great playin as always
