We flew on the Air Atlanta 747 in Sept '05 - i have to say it was a SCARY experience!
When we took off from Manchester we got a strong smell of aviation fuel coming thru the air vents and bits of plastic trim were falling off all around us.
i was on that air atlanta flying to lanzarote, we flew in on it and flew out two weeks later on it, we were supposed be flying with thomas cook but due to a fault on the plane, the 747 was used.. was practically empty - we didnt think it would be able to land lol
yeah erm, it was sometime in the middle of september 2006, i member us geting ready to go and we say a 747 above us in the clouds but assumed it wasnt going to land in ACE, i was mistaken, it did:D
do you think really lanzarote airport is smaller than princess Juliana, in st marteen?, is larger and b747 hasn´t seen many times in lanzarote airport.
This 747 was chartered by the now defunct XL.

Do you remember when you've recorded the landing of the Air Atlanta in ACE? I've seen it too and it was very impressing!
