I was working there today, moving boxes and paintings around. I have to make sure I wear sturdy shoes, because this space has cement floors unlike the old space which had wooden ones. I noticed that my shins and insteps were getting really tired!
What a fantasy space! I've favorited this so I can visit again and again. I hope you show us updates as you configure the studio. I want to live here too!!!
I was totally figurative early on, in fact my first show at the Detroit Artists Guild was all still life and figure studies. Even now, a segment of my work deals with figurative references combined with non-local color!
When you were figurative?? Ha?? Gosh, I vaguely remember that! I think of your early work as the "Kline Years". LOL Gilda, that studio is unbelievable. I want to LIVE there. Holy crap! You have so much stuff, I wonder where you will work. I can't wait to see how you organize this. You are such a lucky girl to have such a tremendous space! :-)
