This is mostly from personal experience, i have not been diagnosed because thankfully i have loved ones to help me through my "crazy moments" but they could call me every disorder in the book.
But the point is when you can illuminate the fear schizophrenia is like being superhuman.

It's a simple formula of going into the experience with an open enough mind. The only reason schizophrenia could be possible is due to the mind state of the individual being paranoid or scared of the experience more than likely beforehand. The mind must be a clean slate before the experience.

I ate 70 of those magic mushrooms (liberty caps) last night with 7 of my mates out in a rocky out crop. I cant begin to tell you the personal experience I had on them it was so intense but aw inspiring and the laugh we had was mighty! Seriously they are the best drug ever, I have taken ecstacy, cocaine, cannabis, speed......all sorts of drugs which were all mistakes! but magic mushrooms really do improve your life. unfortunatly they only come around for a few months a year.

Meditation is better. I'm 57 years old. In my early years I did more than my share of Psychedelics -from weed to acid to mushrooms - It was the most REAL experience I had ever known at that time in my life. It became the focal point of my life - to find that trip to end all trips. I really thought, like so many other "seekers" of my generation, that I could find the meaning of life - God - or whatever you want to call it, through psychedelics. But you always come down. Try meditation.
Opinions vary, obviously. I think attempting to practice meditation while tripping on any kind of psychedelic drug is probably not going to bring you to the "truth" you were seeking. this is because you are still using and depending on your mind to find, or experience the "knowledge" of the "Self" - whereas meditation is meant to allow the practitioner to transcend the mind and body altogether, realizing reality as it really is, pure awareness, unfiltered by the mind or "ego".
I did not mean at the same time - my point was to question whether or not they could both be employed (at same time or not at same time). And I do not see the mushroom as the means to get the 'trip to end all trips'. Its more of a connection thing to the larger field of natural intelligence within which we are woven. The fact is that this mushroom grows even now - even in those rare remaining wild green areas of London. It is a spiritual resource of tremendous eco-psychological importance.

But the fact is, you are already connected to it, you have always been connected to it, and will always be connected to it, because you ARE it. What mushrooms do is to temporarily take you past the "filter" of your mind-body to a higher plane of consciousness, and the experience is breathtaking. Meditation will take your farther.
Meditation (devout religious contemplation or spiritual introspection) can be practiced while handgliding, sitting, and jumping, so I am fairly certain it can be practiced while under the influence of a psychotropic drug, therefore I do not believe that the two are mutually exclusive.
Why exclusivity of method? It's better to combine the two, as well as all other mind expanding techniques such as tantra, drumming, isolation chambers, and so forth. Meditation is more like wings, while psychedelics can be looked at as the engine. That's not to say meditating while sober is not effective, probably after many years it can be as spiritually rapturous and extatic so to speak.But I think all states of consciousness should be brought to the table equally, psychedelic, meditative,ect.
The meaning of life actually could be found through the use of psychedelics, as many people have come forward to testify. The truth to life cannot be found through external sources, but it can be found within the human mind. It's not just an opinion, it's a fact. Marijuanna has no addictive additives, any addiction caused by it is purely psychological. Shrooms are the same way, and both are near harmless to the human body, only in excess do they cause harm. Even then, it's impossible to overdose on shrooms or weed.

I cant begin to tell you the personal experience I had on them it was so intense but aw inspiring and the laugh we had was mighty! Seriously they are the best drug ever, I have taken ecstacy, cocaine, cannabis, speed......all sorts of drugs which were all mistakes! but magic mushrooms really do improve your life. unfortunatly they only come around for a few months a year.

I have seen this many times on the mushroom - a kind of surface with a funnel at the centre into which all information is being drawn. Very powerful symbology. I think attempting to practice meditation while tripping on any kind of psychedelic drug is probably not going to bring you to the "truth" you were seeking. this is because you are still using and depending on your mind to find, or experience the "knowledge" of the "Self" - whereas meditation is meant to allow the practitioner to transcend the mind and body altogether, realizing reality as it really is, pure awareness, unfiltered by the mind or "ego".

I did not mean at the same time - my point was to question whether or not they could both be employed (at same time or not at same time). And I do not see the mushroom as the means to get the 'trip to end all trips'. Its more of a connection thing to the larger field of natural intelligence within which we are woven. The fact is that this mushroom grows even now - even in those rare remaining wild green areas of London. It is a spiritual resource of tremendous eco-psychological importance.

Meditation (devout religious contemplation or spiritual introspection) can be practiced while handgliding, sitting, and jumping, so I am fairly certain it can be practiced while under the influence of a psychotropic drug, therefore I do not believe that the two are mutually exclusive.

Why exclusivity of method? It's better to combine the two, as well as all other mind expanding techniques such as tantra, drumming, isolation chambers, and so forth. Meditation is more like wings, while psychedelics can be looked at as the engine. That's not to say meditating while sober is not effective, probably after many years it can be as spiritually rapturous and extatic so to speak.But I think all states of consciousness should be brought to the table equally, psychedelic, meditative,ect.
