  • For the sake of the world please, EXTERMINATE TARA LIPINSKY!!

  • Tara, I just disagree with you always. Worst commentator ever, NBC have to find new one please! Mao is the most beautiful talented brilliant skater I think. Tara please go away, we don't need you!!

  • The other anchor woman speaking was so biased with her comments to mao, She must be at least fair .mao skate the program brilliantlly ... so give her the comments she deserves!!

  • "she needs to show some feistiness on the ice"??? do they know what they are talking about.. gurls....she did just that landing the Triple axel!

  • @mian416me well say that when you see her compete again now that she has gotten used to her new technique, i don't see anything or anyone stopping her from dominating again... one skater that should never be counted out is Mao Asada, her ability to always bounce back when you the least expect it is amazing... I really look forward to see her skate again...

  • Why are they talking about Kim Yuna when Mao is skating. I don't get these 2 commentators. They are talking as if they have landed 3 Triple Axels in a single competition, won 2 world titles and a silver olympic medal. wth

  • @Ghotika168 well the older sounding one doesnt have much to say, but the other one is Tara Lipinski, the 1998 Olympic Winter Games in Ladies figure skating. She has the insight to talk like shes doing in this video.

  • @AnAsianNamedJose lol, *Olympic champion

  • @AnAsianNamedJose I saw Tara's SP and FS in 1998. They are whimsical, but technically not superior. Tara's programs were nothing compared to Mao's, IMHO.

  • NO.1 !!

  • One more thing... I do love Mao over Yuna but I do agree with everything they said here... all of it is constructive criticism... Tara sees Mao's good side and points out what she's lacking to beat Yuna...

  • I just remembered... Tara won the Olympics in Mao's country (1998 Nagano)

  • Gosh mao is so adorable! luv yea!

  • The two commentators are real bitches. Can they do what Mao did in their skating careers?

  • @Divolicious1 couldn't agree more!!!

  • she is just sooo cute :)

this girl is just unpredictable. im betting shes gonna win japanese nats this year :)

  • wtf...throughout this entire sp all the commentators do is talk about how great kim yuna is and how mao is losing her game....wow...i rly dont get what is so Godly about kim yuna. i really feel that she and mao each have their strengths and weaknesses....i dont undersatnd why yuna is elevated to status of queen high above mao

  • I don't think the commentators are negative. Just because they're not as complimentary towards Mao as they are to Yuna, doesn't mean they are being negative. Unfortunately, Mao, as great a skater as she is (and she is one of the greatest I've ever seen), has to share the spotlight with another great skater (Yuna), when under any other circumstances, she would be considered the greatest.

  • woow mao was fantastic evenso she has been underscored the last couple of seasons, for me she was and is the skater who shines the most not only at world or in vancouver but every season she steps on the ice. I just hope that her scores in the next season are going to reflect more to her briliant performance which she delivers. ohh and those commentators are supposed to be professional their comment are so ridicoules and not neutral like they should have been.

  • @xxflyingsoulxx101 I was not meaning Tara' s comment was about Mao's personality. I just wanted to say North American commentators were generally siding with Yuna saying such as Yuna is unbeatable or adorable. One Scott Hamilton person called Mao "slow and small" That kind of things were difficult to understand for me. Commentators should be neutral to the skaters.

  • @moga711 Your comment on Scott Hamilton is very true. But I wouldn't say that the same goes for all the North American commentators. Many, like Peggy and Dick, who weren't on air have pointed out in the past how Yu-Na could work on her stretch and positions, things Scott has throughly ignored.

On the other hand, saying that Mao is a bit slow is not untrue. Speed is definitely something she can work on.

  • kuyashii=frustrating?

  • @moga711 Tara is not saying Mao has a bad personality in general, just that she lacks it on the ice when she is interpreting her music, which isn't untrue. It could be that the music is just not suited to her, lighter music suits her best. It is something she could definitely work on.

  • english better! and agreed on the KUYASHII part. there's no direct translation for it so it's REALLY HARD to describe it.

  • i love this girl

  • shes so cute when she speaks in english! :D i just adore her lol...(and btw, her english skills improved)

  • @fi202 No fun, of course. Tara Lipinski is the youngest gold medalist in the history. She can see what you cannot see.

  • @tococofrom And I am a performance art critic, thank you!!

  • @muuminavetta of course! what else can you epect from tara lipinski. go mao!

  • @muuminavetta Of course, you don't. If you find Mao so special about, so as they about Yuna. :)

  • @mattyk94 you must need medication...

  • @muuminavetta Kim YuNa is probably the most overrated skater in recent history. Sure she is technically good but she's quite boring to be honest.

  • @thegreendestiny totally agree whit u, she is terrific but tooooootally boring as well she has the classic princes on ice roll that we have seen so many times befeore
