Last thing: My metal detector has a place to put my arm but the only problem is that it has no place to hold my arm in. Kind of confusing to explain

It's a (Garret Ace 250) It looks like something can fit in. Look up an image on google. {MAYBE YOU COULD MAKE A Tortorial Video that explains the case} Thanks.

  • A big hello from not so sunny Scotland Pat :)

I'm really enjoying all your videos.

Thanks so much for this video on making the scoop. I am going to the hardware shop tomorrow to make one. Even though I don't live near the beach and hardly ever do beach detecting its will be handy to have in my arsenal of metal detecting tools!

Is this scoop strong enough for foot assisted wet sand scooping or do you have a different one for that?

    Thanks again!

  • @YeCannyDaeThat Hello my friend in Scotland,Thanks for great comments and for watching my vids.....

I would use this scoop only in my dry sand hunting, for wet sand or underwater hunting I use a stainless steel scoop.

Good luck to you on your hunting! Aloha!Pat

  • @PAT71463RICK Well I have made the scoop! can't wait to get to the beach and try it out.

If I'm ever lucky enough to come to your beautiful island I'll be sure to let you know!

  • Nice Video!!!

  • Found it ! , let you know how mine ends up

  • Hi, what was the sticker or peel off tape that said metal detecting called? Or where did you get it. Nice job. Thanks

  • (PAT71463RICK,

I made this scoop today and am looking forward to using it tomorrow. One question I have is that no matter how tight I go with the concrete bolt into the handle it seems that the handle still spins. Not loosely but it does still turn some. Is this something to expect or did I do something wrong?

Thanks for the awesome video on how to make this though...

    Officermark303

  • where did you get the cement anchor and sleeve

  • Excellent Pat..Thanks for sharing !

  • Great instructional video. I, also, was wondering how you attached the handle.

    Good stuff. Thanks.

I was also wondering what you use for the grip? I was thinking a slip on grip for a golf club or fishing rod grip would work well. I think I'll get the stuff to make one later today.

  • Thank u for that how to video, going to make one this week. When detecting let us know what setting u are in.Keep them coming

  • pat i have made 2 sand scoop just like yours. i made them after watching your beach vids. they are the same but the handle attachment is different. i never figured out how you did it. the way i did it is much harder than your method. thanks for posting this. now i know how to attach the handle. like nibdog said, ingenious!

  • I was hopeful that you would do a video of this. I had it mostly figured out by looking at your beach videos but I wasn't sure how you attached the handle. Ingenious!!!

Love your movies. Keep them coming.

  • Great video! Pat your good. That alot cheaper that buying a name brand and work just as well. Well Done.
