Everyone out there don't be haters!!!! This guy is a genious!!!!!! Don't disrespect his talent!!!
Last thing: My metal detector has a place to put my arm but the only problem is that it has no place to hold my arm in. Kind of confusing to explain
It's a (Garret Ace 250) It looks like something can fit in. Look up an image on google. {MAYBE YOU COULD MAKE A Tortorial Video that explains the case} Thanks.
I Really like this video!!! You are a very smart person.
JUST ONE PROBLEM;
Can you please name and list all the materials used??? I tried to find the stickers u used but couldn't find them? "I am a begining metal detector person and i just needed a tool that will do the job."
Thank You, happy new year and i looked on line but this was the only one i found!!
Thanks so much for this video on making the scoop. I am going to the hardware shop tomorrow to make one. Even though I don't live near the beach and hardly ever do beach detecting its will be handy to have in my arsenal of metal detecting tools!
Is this scoop strong enough for foot assisted wet sand scooping or do you have a different one for that?
First off beautiful island you have : D I watched your other video of the scoop in action it looks very effective. I cant wait to make a scoop and hunt some beaches.
@passiondiva13 Thanks for the comment Bud......i used a 1/2'' EMT pipe for the handle for the anchor a 1/2'' x
2 1/4 with a sleeve by Red Head and the washers that goes in to the pipe what i did i just filed down two washers untill it fit in to the pipe.........Good luck on your hunting......Pat
Wow! Impressive what a couple of hardware materials and a creative mind can put together. Awesome man keep up the good work and H. H. and I look forward for some more awesome videos.
I made this scoop today and am looking forward to using it tomorrow. One question I have is that no matter how tight I go with the concrete bolt into the handle it seems that the handle still spins. Not loosely but it does still turn some. Is this something to expect or did I do something wrong?
Thanks for the awesome video on how to make this though...
Thanks for the tutorial. I've just made mine and it works a treat! I substituted the plastic handle with a 4 foot aluminium pipe and attached the handle nearer the front so I could use it in the water and it works flawlessly.
@netfella Thanks my friend for the great comment, great idea Buddy on the longer handle,I would love to see it in action, hope you could post some pics or vids of your hunting that would be awesome! good luck on your hunting.....Aloha !
@PAT71463RICK Aloha! Here's a little clip of how mine turned out with the modifications. I'll try and do a hunting video in the future sometime. watch?v=XH7OdI5vDo8
Pat can you send me the size of pipe you used , anchor bolt and washer. Awesome scoop I want to make one I got 1/2" pipe today but couldn't get washers inside and over anchor bolt.. Thanks man
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I am a newbie just retired so every cent saved is a help. Could you please tell us the size of holes you drilled in the plastic.
Excellent Video -- next time raise volume a little more
@adamfimby79 Aloha Adam ! sorry i don't sell them.....I was thinking about it maybe in the future......thanks and good luck to you on your hunting. Shaka ! Pat
nicw dude....but hear an idea make one two and put them on opposite side of the stick pole thing so one is for large objects the other side is for small objects
Tanks a lot for the instruction on how to do a sand scoop! It is so easy, you just have to know how to do it ^^ I just got a Fisher CZ 20 and I will built one of your sand scoops as well. Keep on filming an Happy hunting to you!!!
What a truly superb idea. You've solved an idea on making a sand scoop that's been bugging me for a while. Cheers, Pat and may good fortune be yours...
Big Mahalo, junito ! thanks for the great comment....It cost me about ten bucks to make, and it still scoops great in the dry sand . It paid for it self months ago....there are so many good finds that i scooped up with it. My latest good find was a nice Seiko dive watch retails for around $375.00 bucks....HH!!! Shaka Pat
Very informative video. Good instructions. Thanks for sharing with us. Like Clint Eastwood said in his movie ("Heart break Ridge"), Improvise, Adapt and Overcome. HH
i made my scoop out of the 3 inch pvc must be the different types of sand used in hawaii. seems that the p;ay sand uses in our volley ball courts here in texas are bigger grains doesnt sift as well.
totally awesome u wont believe i bought the pvc pipe and had the screen and made basically the same thing but..lolol..i needed a handle so i used it today no handle lmao ur da best u solved the handle issue ill get it done and post a vid pat tx tx tx
Awesome scoop my friend! Thanks for sharing your design with us. That's why I love this hobby, you meet the nicest people from all over the place. Thanks again.
Great instructional video. I, also, was wondering how you attached the handle.
Good stuff. Thanks.
I was also wondering what you use for the grip? I was thinking a slip on grip for a golf club or fishing rod grip would work well. I think I'll get the stuff to make one later today.
Pat..THX!Ive been wanting a sand scoop but I dont have enough beach to justify buying one..Your plan is great!Looks strong too. Thanks a Bunch for sharing with us.HH
pat i have made 2 sand scoop just like yours. i made them after watching your beach vids. they are the same but the handle attachment is different. i never figured out how you did it. the way i did it is much harder than your method. thanks for posting this. now i know how to attach the handle. like nibdog said, ingenious!
I was hopeful that you would do a video of this. I had it mostly figured out by looking at your beach videos but I wasn't sure how you attached the handle. Ingenious!!!
