  • fantastic version of this song....great female version of a classic....love madison park.....check out Ocean Drive.....

  • DeAnna Cool kicks ass!!!!!!! Love it.

  • 33 people don't appreciate good music.

  • Covers like this are why I don't leave sharp knives in arms reach.

  • this is good driving music too.

  • So great. Nice groove, I just love it. I’ve loved this one for several years now!

  • I hope there is something more than this, this sheet is phuqing depressing........did they wake up one morning and decide to remake this song..."oh hey, we're having some wine and do some lines tonight, wear something nice cause you may or may not be in a music video".....I feel like I am interrupting their party

  • @jedichef08 Lol,

  • Different to say the least..but I like it.

  • ive been a roxy music fan since the very early days of mtv - "more than this" was one of my favorite songs as a kid. usually new artists butcher covers & remixes - this version of "more than this" by madison park and lenny b is a great breath of fresh air :) i think its fantastic. its new, and this remake brings back some of the old feelings i have forgotten "more than this" sent back in the early 80's. madison park, thank you :)

  • this is a good version. im a roxy music fan and i give this one a thumbs up. roxy music's songs can easily be blended with electronic music. i think people will look back at roxy music in 20 years from now and realize just how good and influential they were.

  • Nice effort on the redo / remix, but nothing tops the original!

  • the only remake of any song that I have really enjoyed is the remake by Fear Factory of the Gary Numan song Cars.. most remakes dont hold up. Sorry.. Great song in the original though

  • @w0mblemania to say you don't like it is OK but it's awful? I don't think so.

  • @sleomazzola I really do believe it's awful. Just everything about it grates; it feels forced, there's no nuance. Each to their own, but I wish they'd never touched the song at all.

  • @w0mblemania It does not feel feel forced. Your right though each their own!!! Never awful at all.

  • beautiful woman!

  • I think the awesome of music and all arts it's that it's very subjective and each people decide what it's good music and don't for itself I hate people who thinks that if tha song doesn't like or fit in their style it's not music!

  • better than 1000 maniacs and nora jones but not better than roxy music. Also, better than Ezra but not better than Better Than Ezra.

  • I like the song and it has a good beat to it. Everyone has their preference on whats a good song and what is not. Anyone knows where i can download the song (LEGALLY) please let me know.

  • It's on iTunes and Amazon if not others, too. There's other versions, as well.

  • Hell yes its a great remix!!!

  • I like the coffeescup version here on youtube

  • where can i get a copy of this song?

  • This is a great cover, I love it.What a nice change to hear a great cover, and not just a copy. I love the mellow laid back vocals, I was waiting for it to speed up but, No. just perfect. thanks for posting. LOL .

  • Kill the robots.

  • ID crawl through 500 miles of BROKEN GLASS!!!

  • she is god! god be whit me!!!

  • Madison Park has a ton of great songs. They have three albums out, and many CD singles.

  • So many big time STARS sings this songs.... I LOVE THEM ALL...

    But...this is the best

  • I agree. This is, hands down, the best remake of this song, and a great dance track!

  • One of the BEST tones/song/music/lyrics/beats....and all that stuff.... ever MADE!

    ONE OF MY FAVS!

  • Madison Park is the American answer to the ambiance/electronic/lounge chill sound that has hit the world the last five years or so..thank you for this remake! still love it after a year later :)

the video personifies their mood and concept of lounge music.

  • She's American?

  • I believe they are from Atlanta, Ga.

    Deanna and James Cool

supposed to have an album released late 2008

  • awful

  • HOT!! Great beat !! 5 *****

  • Second time better..Shes HOT!!!

  • Whats your angle? Is that your baby?I'll buy that!

  • Macchè calzolaio! La UGA sulla ruspa!!!

  • Ma che roba e' questa? Se Brian Ferry fosse morto si rivolterebbe 100 volte nella tomba: a cantarla cosi' e' capace anche il calzolaio.

  • Like this?... You may like A Band Called Bert

  • but why , that band is little known and sounds like rem

  • REM r u serious? Jesus.

  • I did not mean madison

  • Damn she is beautiful. Better than barbie.

  • whoa she looks like a human barbie, and the song is awsome.

  • Superb!

  • watch ?v=3sNWAM6jPjU for real time lyrics of this excellent song

Madison Park - More Than This

  • excellent song!!!

  • Buena interpretación.

  • I like this cover but Roxy Music's original is still the best!

  • shit..you can say that again. every single cover outhere, from 10,000 maniacs and the others do NOT capture the magic of this song. but this version is ok i guess.

  • Ditto to that - but it's a very good effort.

  • Awesome remix! Ear candy all the way to the end.

  • 4:06

    beautiful...

  • I don't mind the club remix but for fuck's sake can we stop using the damned vocorder?

  • Well, I guess if was at a club and ready to dance, maybe I'd like this. But just to listen to...or to watch the video? Yuk.

  • see blondie's version. to be honest I wanted to come here and write this is shit, but it's not that bad after all.

  • I love this version!!!

  • I agree with you!

  • WTFO??? 10,000 Maniacs did this and, at least, tried to stay loyal to Roxy Music's original? Has the music industry truly run out of original ideas? Guys....try to be creative; I hear it's very liberating

  • I've been a fan of Roxy Music since Virginia Plain, so I could reasonably be expected to hate this. Except I don't. I think it's a fab cover. The 10,000 Maniacs version is nice but by staying loyal to the original it's ended up as being essentially karaoke. If you're going to cover a classic then at least do your own thing with it. That's what Madison Park have done and, in my opinion, it works. Nothing will ever beat the original though.

  • DITTO!!!:-)

  • @Electra100 Makes sense.

  • Plastic, when compared to the original. Even the beautiful basic melody sounds like elevator music.

  • It was fun for a while There was no way of knowing Like dream in the night Who can say where we´re going No care in the world Maybe i´m learning Why the sea on the tide Has no way of turning More than this - there is nothing More than this - tell me one thing More than this - there is nothing
  • I just love the simplicity of the poetry and the music.

  • It's good but the original is way better.

  • original is better!!!!!!!!!

  • Put a real drummer on it.

    Hang those drumming machines.

  • It's a dance track. (rolleyes)

so all the DJ's can get their mix on.

I feel like I need to set my BPM on Virtual DJ

  • TOO AWESOME FOR WORDS!!!

  • TOO AWESOME FOR WORDS!!!

  • Fantastic !!

  • I could feel at the time There was no way of knowing Fallen leaves in the night Who can say where they´re blowing As free as the wind And hopefully learning Why the sea on the tide Has no way of turning More than this - there is nothing More than this - tell me one thing More than this - there is nothing
  • It was fun for a while There was no way of knowing Like dream in the night Who can say where we´re going No care in the world Maybe i´m learning Why the sea on the tide Has no way of turning More than this - there is nothing More than this - tell me one thing More than this - there is nothing
  • she's beautiful and has a great voice.

  • girl whats your name??

  • She reminds me of Tatjana Bulanova (Russian Singer) Looks like her and has a similar sound too. Very good.

  • Best remix of this song.

  • madison park should have more recognition!!! shes a brilliant singer!!!!

  • brilliant autotune preset. People stop doing that, sher did it in 1997 and it was enough..

Original is fantastic, this is crap!

  • take out the repetitive beat and echo... and maybe it's good

  • The original song is great. This version is ok, but I noticed something in the video. DeAnna has been told that she is pretty so many times, it has gone to her head. Watch the video and notice the smartty pants attitude she displays. Man, I hate it when a girl does that! I

  • Its an interesting tempo and re-interpretation of the Roxy Music original, but the computer manipulation that adds that "warble" throws the song for me, and makes the sound rather juvenile and poppy for me.

Might inspire young people to re-discover the original, and appreciate the art in that one.

I wonder if anyone will attempt a re-make of Avalon. Doubt anyone has the personal style to properly do Avalon justice. Bryan Ferry was gifted and embodied class like practically no one else.

  • It's a beautiful version , i agree with that people, some people think that is awful , is just a song for dancing , i liked

  • bill murray's version is the f ucking best

  • Gorgeous! Check out Blondie's cover...Also LUSCIOUS!

  • some people are getting bent out of shape over this remake! Folks, Roxy's STILL the best, there will never be a version as awesome as the original. anytime a remake is done, it is usually a compliment or a homage to the artist/group/song. if u don't like it, don't listen to it. peace...

  • It's a beautiful version,I like this one more than the original. The girl singing is beautiful too.

  • I like this new version,beautiful.

  • It's a hole different song

  • the more i listen to this version, the MORE i like it!! IMHO,i would have to rank this version right behind the ALL-TIME Roxy classic. the producing and the music is superb. her voice is just right w/o being overwhelming. mixing was done nicely to keep the original sound intact.

  • the lyrics to this timeless song are profound and meaningful. anybody with style and substance can never mess this song up. 10,000 maniacs' version is nice and safe. Norah Jones' version was boring.Madison Park put a dance spin to it and it WORKS!! i like it. Roxy's still the best!

  • i agree

  • i like it

  • sweet remix thanks!

  • :S Rare... Much better the original of 1982.

  • I prefer roxy music version (orginal), this one is not giving the same taste as roxy music...

  • Better than the dreadful effort by 'Emmie' in 1999. Bass line makes this cover...nice looking girl - I think Bryan would probably give her one.

  • lmao

  • check out 10000 maniacs (post natalie)

    cover circa 1998 of same.

  • Blasphemy.....U can't improve on perfection.

  • I've heard several versions of this song, and they all (more or less) give me this ethereal, dreamy feeling. I wish there were more songs like this... more than this?

  • Beautiful but no comparison to the Roxy Music version.

  • Hey-Artists rule! Take comfort in change as change happens constantly. Artist take chances and thats why art is hated or loved so critically.

  • Very good cover, very pretty singer

  • Awesome rendition! Madison Park, is HOT! And she's got quite an angelic voice!!

  • I love this song! Makes me warm and fuzzy...... I love this song! Makes me warm and fuzzy....

  • I cant say she's beautiful (just cute), but she looks like she really knows how to work those lips and tongue.

  • Sorry......Bryan Ferry owns this song! Long live Roxy Music!!!!!!

  • Well,the music itself is not as complex/talented as Roxy Music.Not a bad remix,though.

  • What a hottie! Spank me! I've been a naughty boy...

  • Aw!! I love bryan ferry but this version is cute.. Just like her. A little bed bunny.

    for sex

  • I love this version and the lead singer is very beautiful.

  • Yeah it is a very pure rendition. For our Canadian fans, madison looks like Belinda Stronach (escort of Presient Clinton).

  • The Madison Park remake definitely does justice to the Roxy Music original. It sounds contemporary and fresh, and the vocals are downright sultry. Bravo!

  • I love this interpretation. I totally dig the techno aspect. I would be interesting if the song was done in the same tempo as the original with the sounds from this remix.

  • I have to agree with original8hr - It reminds me of Robyn and her various versions of Do You Know What it Takes. She can carry this without all the synth a la Cher. Overall it's good, but not up to her full potential.

  • Göksel:More than this

    Özge:There is nothing

    Göksel:Tell me one thing

    Özge:There is nothing

  • beautiful voice, beautiful song, too bad they techno'd it. I think she coulda carried with real instruments instead of the synth.

  • I'm impressed with this. If there was more of a bloom after "more than this" it would have sounded nice.

  • Certainly a decent effort. It's a difficult one to cover for sure, even Bryan Ferry avoided singing it live until 2005!

  • you should put on here that the song is not hers, it's a Roxy Music cover.

  • She looks like Kelly Wilde's younger sister

  • this woman is really fucking beautiful!

  • wonderful video, beautiful woman, excellent song...

do you wann "more than this" ? :D
