If you pay attention to professor fears you'll walk away a wiser individual. He has a knack for taking the rather comlicated history of man and wrapping it up into a woven tale that most everyone can understand. if you ever get a chance to check out any of his lectures from "The teaching company" especially "Books that have made history: Books that can change your life" you'll be blown away.

Totally agree on Professor Fears. I studied w him at BU, have been delighted to see his lectures published by the Teaching Company, which do blow away, I'm a life-long fan.

Rufus Fears has a brilliant take on the Founders. I will find out what he thinks of President George W. Bush...  (I have only watched Part One.) 5 stars ...so far so good.

Obviously you didn't watch the entire talk. Bush believes advancing Democratic freedom is a logical step in the "sweep of history" and Dr. Fears says otherwise. He points out Bush has repeatedly ignored the lessons of history and the world is a more dangerous place today than when he started his term because of it.
