@Nater36 bottles win races....Even high end turbo cars use it. Building a proper nitrous car with a 2 stage system of 6-800hp is NOT for babies lol. Bottles are cheap to fill unless your poor, not adding more moving parts to break later is always a plus,easy to install yourself in a couple hours, and never ending fun. I will take the nitrous please...

when doing an sts build it really pays to do your hw, i bet it would have been a completely different race if the sts car had a turbo cam and ported heads. also rear mounts tend to be kinda of finicky. exhaust leaks and boost leaks can completely fudge your performance. but if done right they way more fun nitrous =D

@camaroman87 yes and no.. you lose your stock exhaust.. but the STS replaces it.. headers goes back to turbo then out exhaust, while forced air goes from a pipe from the turbo to (intercooler) then to the intake etc etc.

@camaroman87 a turbo uses a downpipe, not headers. so you either convert to a downpipe or get a turboback exhaust. what kind of camaro do you have btw.

A stock LS1 CANNOT hold up on a 200 shot!!! 150 would be pushing it. 100 is perfect. You might get lucky and get a couple runs with a 200 and then you can kiss your block good bye ;)

True, But I know an LS1 can hold up to 200 shot pretty easily.  So a 100 shot isnt too bad. But when a 100 shot gets old ya move to a 200 shot, then to more then finally blowing it up. Same can be for boost. LSx engines are stout and can hold high power for quite some time. I have bets saying you would pull the engine before you blow it just to get bigger cubes or forge it. Then your just about bulletproof.

a turbo on a stock bottom end isnt worth it...save your 4-5k...now if you had a low compression built block, thats a different story...Even then you can just spray a bigger shot....i have a Zex 100 shot on my 01 SS, Nitrous is safe if you have the supporting mods and tuned right

Hey man its like this: that turbo is not making 7psi the whole time.... only at certain rpm ranges. Nitrous is 100hp everywhere... thats why it takes 800hp supras to beat a 700hp American car... All about USABLE RPMS..

usable rpm u say? u hit full boost on that system extremely low in the rpm range - and at 7psi ud normally see about 500rwhp. even with a 100 shot on a stock motor ur about 100 short no matter what part of the rpm range ur in.

a fuckin lS1 will not blow up on a 100 shot. You can run an LS1 on a 150 shot all day. LS1's can run a 175 shot on a stock motor with a spot on tune...but not everyday, mostly weekends at the track. A stock bottom end on an LS1 can handle roughly 600rwhp. I have a 01Z28 with a 150 shot and full bolt ons, stall, gears and slicks and the motor is bone stock and there is nothing wrong with it what so ever.
