@LeopardGeckoMan12 yes they can get it. The majority of lizards don't get it (obviously) but it's always a risk that they will pick up sand when eating.
i have one and i feed him harvester ants from my neighborhood, the ants are very abundant in this small field about 1block by 1block there is like 7 different colonies... unless they are all connected underground :O
i found my horned lizard around here as well. so im pretty sure they are what he was eating :)
you have any problems with the sand? nd what kinda sand is that? And how do they like other foods besides ants. i heard ants is best but they eat other things unless there stuborn?
can the lizard get impaction from sand??? just trying rto figure out what substrate to use

Dont feed them that many crickets it will get sick or die. Its better to just feed them harvester ants.

you better not give mealworms! they give digestion-problems... smallcrickets and fruitflies and other small insekts you can give.
But indeed you NEED to give them ants!!!

That's the kind of horned lizards we have here in Vegas.

Most of the time, any sand will do, but check your local pet shop, they'll more than likely have it.
As for the ants, they NEED to have ants.
They can eat crickets, and mealworms, but they need ants every day, to every 3 days.
