I have the V Coupe. It took a while to get the right amount of attitude without making the car sound like an old Camaro. JBA headers into high flow cats into a Magnaflow X pipe cat back worked best for me.
I personally think that Magnaflow sounds horrible. It was too quiet for me with cats and without cats all you could hear was the rasp and not the sound of the engine. I've had the same experience on this car with their x-pipe and my other car with a y-pipe.

@CheatinChad i was going to mention that the LSA and LS9 are different too, but you beat me to the punch ;) i believe they "share" the same short block, but have a completely different heads,cam, intake, and supercharger. LSA has a 1.9L huffer rather than the LS9's 2.3L unit...just a little food for thought. :)
LS9= Ti rods by Pankl (HIGH END connecting rod manufacturer). Twin Behr AtoW intercoolers,Forged Pistons (2618 or similar alloy) 11 rib supercharger drive system,(semi)Dry Sump oiling system,etc,etc,...All the things I've listed plus a few more things differ from the LSA.
even though they are the same displacement and both have superchargers there is more different than the same when you look at the details.
sound doesn't match the car...i'm all for a sickly loud car but if i hear that sound, thinking it's a muscle of some sort and turn around to see a cts-v...nahh...sorry...sounds great, looks great, both together it's very odd...

@ASCmustang88 Depends on what CTS-V this is but the newer ones are pretty freakin beast and F/I, the older ones are a 6.0L so either way the car could weigh as much as a freight train and still have raw power. Not to Mention they dont wiegh too differently from the 2004-2006 GTO's and thats a 2-door and beast... so weight really isn't an issue unless your looking for Traps and 1/4 Mile ET's

I'm all for the saving of the earth's natural environment, keeping emissions down, getting damn good gas mileage while finding an alternative to gas, being a "safe" driver and all that. But, just every once in a while, i take my blown, uncorked '78 firebird out (only on the weekends) and blow my accumulated karmic paycheck all over the pavement. No matter how fast or agile alternative fuel cars get, they will NEVER rival the brutal, violent, pure and raw roar of a gas guzzling muscle car.

@HighCardWins i dont believe in global warming. i mean if there wasnt a such thing then we would stilll be in a ice age right now and none of us would be alive. cataltyc converters pull the big stuff out of the exhaust but little stuff is still comeing out and thats what goes up into the air. a catylatic converter is the most restrictive thing in the exhaust. this ne guy doing this isnt gonna hurt anything. oh and my friends 70 bronco gets about 6 mpg :)

@HighCardWins yeah well i dont wanna live through an ice age, and a 80 degree day in southern california an the middle of summer is not what i call global warming. usually at that time its around 105-112. the environment has survived way worse and repaired is self. its really no big deal that guy is still probly getting about 15 mpg or more
