I bought a brand new Wartburg Knight in 1966. It was a super car and would carry five adults and all our holiday luggage on the Motorway at 60 - 65 miles per hour all day long. Never let me down in 7 years. Built like a tank with really beautiful body work. Gosh I wish they were still making Wartburgs today. Germany can rightly be very proud the Wartburg cars for their quality and reliability. Wartburg should be regarded as a significant German auto brand. Viva Wartburg!!!!!!

it is indeed sad., that he soviets wanted production numbers, more than pretty looks. becasue the early wartburgs were not bad lookers.
