Wow. Your nether base is incredibly unreliable. Lava surrounded by weak blocks like sandstone and glass, open minecart tracks... it must be painful to keep it intact.

@TheVindicar I've had no problems so far and I like the way it looks. I try to use materials that you wouldn't expect to hopefully good effect :-)

@Biffa2001 Well, you're lucky then. I use piston doors in Nether, and I had a hard time when ghast fireball destroyed opening button. I also had to cover significant area around entrance with cobblestone, so those blasts won't turn landscape into impassable mess.

@TheVindicar On this video this was the first time I had a problem riding in on a cart, normally I enter and exit so quick on a cart that any Ghasts around either don't see me or just miss me with their aim. Fingers crossed they keep missing :-)

Not sure if anyone pointed this out already, but when you're hitting the fire charges from the ghasts, they'll go wherever your cursor is pointing (they don't bounce off you at a proper angle). As long as you are facing the way you want it to go, you can hit the charge as it's coming in to you at a bit of an angle.

I think I know what are you building. When a snow golem shoots mobs, mobs will become aggro at him. Skeletons will turn right almost immediately, creepers will turn right when they come close, and zombies will continue walking forwards.
