Boomerang Roller Coaster at Elitch Gardens

I remember the first time I rode on this: I was trying to get my younger brother to come with me and he was very hesitant. Once I got him to come along, we took the front seat and he was panting and was incredibly nervous.

About halfway through the first flips, he said, "You know what? I like this already!!" and we started to talk about random things; yes, in the middle of a roller-coaster. And since then it has been our little 'tradition' to have a conversation on roller-coasters. :)

This ride goes by pretty fast, but it's definitely worth it. I remember years ago, I got on, and I sat in my seat for like five rides. The guys who operate it tried to lock all the seats before I could get on again. Lol. It was amazing.

I love this ride. The last time I went to Elitch's, it was 2 years ago, I went on this ride with my older brother, we were sitting in the very front and there were these 2 girls that kept screaming when we were going backwards on the halfpipe thing. Those 2 girls kept screaming, and everyone else on the ride was like, "SHUT UP!!" That was funny. =)

That "noise" at 0:29 are the brakes in the station fully opening once the train has almost reached its maximum height. While the train is being lifted by the winch system the brakes remain about 50% closed to safely slow then stop the train if the galvanized steel cable lifting it were to snap. If it were to snap during the lift before it reaches maximum height the train would not have enough momentum to reach the second hill and would get stuck in the cobra roll.
