i like it for the brushes, but having your lipsticks out like that isnt sanitary what so ever, also what if you pull out the lipgloss and it slips? you'll eff up the lipsick in front of it. cool concept but not so good in practice :/

I just wanted to share with yall the awesome brush holder I bought from this very nice man who makes them and sells them on ebay, he makes them by hand of solid wood and will work with you on design, size, etc, if you want. But best of all is the price, I paid about $15 plus shipping for one. He is very honest, has 100% positive feedback and if you have more than 30 brushes then this is a great way to store them. I bought 2 and painted one black and one pink, very cute. His ebay id is dickk52

nice job very professional it is very pretty...but I have numerous "lipstick holders" and unlike in the 50's when they were often the same size and shape (round). I have bought so many lipstick holders and todays lipsticks barely fit the holes so I use them for gloss tubes and squeezies. Unless I can try them live..........good luck!

@Dreaminstar64 it probably would....but i don't leave it uncapped all day. i only leave it ucapped when i'm doing a job to make it easier to see. i have a system where i know where my colors are which prevents me from picking them up to look and see what's the color...i.e. a pink one a purpele & red one etc.

Do you leave the lids off of the lippies like that? If not then you still have to pull the caps off to view the colors?

@MademoiselleMinerva i leave the lids on unless i'm doing a job and for the most part i store them upside down and i know the color by the name. i also have several so i have them color coded by color....i.e. one for pinks, one for purples and one for nudes and misc.

@jaynim10 I store them with the caps on but wanted to show Make-up-Artist how convenient this could be if they are working on a show and needed the colors displayed for quick and easy application. However, for my personal collection I store them with the caps on.

@TheMakeupcutiepie no, I keep them covered when i'm not using them. I displayed it with the caps off so make-up artist could see how convenient it would be when their working with large groups (bridal parties etc.). They store with the caps on. Good question!

The brush holder is very cute and stylish! But... Bacteria can actually grow on lipsticks so you should always keep the cap on! If not for sanitary reasons... then for the fact that they will completely dry out!

Good idea for the brushes but not the lipsticks because with the lipsticks dirt and bacteria would attract on them I recommend putting the caps on them and before you do that take a picture of them in your order and paste in on the organizer on put it next to it.

@tinypeanut021 Thanks for the comment. I agree about the dirt and bacteria. I couldn't figure out how to merge the 2 videos I did with the caps on and off. Although, I never thought of taking a picute of them and placing it by the holder. Great idea! I just thought about this one.......there is enough space to use a small label and write the name of the lipstick to sit behind it that way you don't see the sticker on the front row.

Yes, it's excatly the same however the brushes don't go all the way down. It stops to allow the brush handle to suspend in the holder half way down the handle. Good question!
