in 2009 i got a hollow body pine tele body from guitar mill.com...bought a 70's strat style headstock 50's fat neck and put stainless steel fret wire in it...put all vintage fender hardware and electronics then put lindy fralin blue special pickups in it...it is so wicked....cost me about $850...then fender comes out with this....and no...mine doesnt sound dull..it sounds incredible..its a little on the darker side bc pine is soft but its still got enough snap when it needs it

@jelledegitaarman Hehe. The rosewood fretboard certainly makes things mellower, but I've heard other teles with rosewood that had a lot more snap.
