all the American whining about Vietnam and the syndrome is pathetic. Many of the soldiers volunteered, they went just for a limited amount of time, they got paid, fed, clothed, they could smoke weed and shag things. There are still men alive in Vietnam who started fighting at the age of 16 and finished at 50, they are not many as most of them are dead. Often, they couldn't even choose the side, malnourished with a substantial part of the family dead, you do not see them in veteran nuthouses

Ho-Chi-Min ( the sovietic puppet) started Vietnam's war attaking south Vietnam with the aim to obtain it.
USA responded to this invasion, and you should know, Ho-Chi-Min exterminated his same " Citizens" Christians, political oppositors and an entire CULTURAL GROUP ( like Nazists) called " Montagnard".
And USA under a strategical profile won this war, with Kissinger secret flights from Cambodia to Vietnam, with the consense of the Soviet Union beloved nation: China.
