though I love the inspired sampling, the percussion isn't as good as it could be, maybe drums are no the artists strong point. That repeat thud does that track an injustice. around 4.00 the percussion picks up but is still driven by the bass drum which by now has been blocked out as just some variable velocity could go a long way to improving the percussion, on a personal note a break beat chopped up into recycle would work very nice using gating to trigger off the sampling lines. score 7/10

i dont know about it being pulled directly from the scientist... its either been used as a sample, which c'mon, than it doesnt really matter where you got it - coldplay or not - its just another sound he came up with playing with his gear... that i think is the answer ;) happenstance or not, kick ass tune...
