Coming to Indy in Feb and I have loved them forever!! I just don't think I see them without Rob, He was my Justin to the young girls of today! Pictures plastered all over my walls!! It would be very sad.
RIP Rob Grill...It is so harsd to believe that these great songs were so many years ago...I never thought I'd live to be a senior citizen. I may be an old fart now...but these songs always make me feel young one more time...God bless the '60's.
@saunders49 Well said and yes time waits for no man. That is the psychology of living. I was born in 1952 so getting on a bit now. As a kid you think a lifetime is forever when actually as human beings we come and go very quickly in the grand scheme of things. As you said God bless the 60's and all those that made the music for us.
@saunders49 , Old fart has nothing to do with it. Nowadays I have friends in their late 20s or younger and early 30s discovering this music for the first time and they breath a deep sigh of relief. This is REAL music; Real singing, real instrument playing, etc..
I actaully grew up knowing who the Grass Roots were, im 17 now, my grandpa loved them, i just now realized thats Creed from my favorite T.V show, small world :)
Jimmy Durante! An honor and so long ago. Hard to believe it was that long ago when we listened to the Grass Roots on our radios. Give me those 4-4 songs any day over what's going on now. Keep it short too. Thanks. Lamar
Durante should have said they have a lawnmower. Now that's funny! :-) Also I like how elegant they were dressed then. I like my 80's music too but they looked ridiculous at times. 60's was class...

Song was a big hit in the 60's, but I never saw them live until they came to Nashville in 1986-87 as part of a big nostalgia 60's tour. I've always played guitar and thought it so odd how they would chord E in the chorus during, ".....live for today."
