Xie Xie This will be good to learn. My brother in law runs a cantonese restraunt and i work there with him now. I wanted to learn some chinese to show respect and talk to the people who work there. His dad and the head chef speak some english but the other two only know the basics. I've learnt to say thank you and goodbye so i can be polite. learning more though would be fun and show respect seeing as they try hard to learn English.
