People need to shut up. Seriously.

Richmond , to me, was a great city; everyone talks about how ghetto it is, etc, but I had a great time...you can take a nice walk on the canal walk along the shores of the james river, white-water raft right in the city, visit belle island, go downtown at night and enjoy the great dining and little shops, work in the well-kept and business district, take a lunch and stroll around the state capitol grounds...I think Richmond is a great city.

@pchsalumni hahah, i live in richmond, and yep, you can go along the canal walk....and get mugged....or go to belle isle and get raped.....or go downtown at night and get in a fight with shitloads of college kids that have taken over the city (VCU).....and its the state capital with an "a"

I was in R'mond last weekend and judging from what I saw, I can certainly affirm that it is one of the ugliest state capitals I have ever seen. It really looks like a depressing place, no taste at all, not even a great skyline. My recommendation, do not waste your time there; you would be better off visiting a small town like Fredericksburg or something like that.

Whoever said this video is racist is so wrong. Richmond has problems, but its prettiest buildings happen to be historic, and the history happens to be the Confederacy....too bad. Enjoy the beauty of the architecture and leave the racism to the 19th Century. Of course we're beyond that.
