Does SATA 2 and 3 have the same cable plug? Im going to buy a new motherboard with only SATA 3 inputs and I have SATA 2 now, can I use my current calbes?

How much faster in the real world is SATA III to SATA II? I know it's supposed to have twice the transfer rate, but in the real world, do you notice a significant improvement?

it would be better if it`s connected bu pci-e x1, because 4 example on my motherboard both pci-e x4 ports are occupied by thick videocard.

USB 3 is about 5 times faster ... very useful for external drives

Actually USB 3 is 10 times faster than 2... And also its not that useful for external drives since a single harddrive is only about 150mb write and read. (SATA II = 480) Witch makes the Harddrive bottlenecking

yeah but thats theoretical speed. in the real world we have to deal with overheads and ul find it comes closer to about four times faster than usb2
