  • The rhythm section really struggled to work as a team in this performance. The drummer really needed to lead and was found wanting. That said, Shirley is fabulous as always.

    Shirley Horn's voice transported me to another time and place. Simply amazing. Thank you for archiving this moment in history and sharing it with the world.

  • I rencently discovered Shirley Horn while listening to a jazz show. It was clear that I had missed a true gem in the jazz world. However, I will not miss her anymore and will cherish her voice everytime I hear it. Rest in Peace!

  • I thank you so - for posting this again. I had found it last year from another posting and fell in love immediately. The song is so haunting, so real. She literally tears out my heart. In learning more about her, I was saddened to see that she has passed and have tried hard to collect her music. I do believe in angels.
