I dont see how a true fan of their music can see new listeners as a bad thing. If anything it increases the probability that they might come tour because so many new fans are popping up.
For everyone thats hating on the people who didnt know who bloodbath was can you all take a chill pill? I mean I got to go see this concert and I had meet and greets after only being an Opeth fan for two weeks. Just because im new to their music and now to bloodbaths music doesnt mean anything. Music can be appreciated now matter how long youve been listening to a band, and this was an oppurtunity for me to find another awesome band to listen too. I dont see how a true fan of their music can se
Great show. The only part that disappointed me was that there wasnt a single pit for Katatonia's whole set or Bloodbath. Still, both bands played great, even though i didnt know Katatonia before i got there.
@blindguardian187 Its not very odd actually, Eaten is the flagship of Bloodbath, and Soul Evisceration is also a very important Bloodbath song that has been played in the 8 gigs of the band, Now we could say 9 gigs, so as I said, its not that odd. and I think is great, because Nightmares Made Flesh is my favorite Bloodbath record.
@AndresMetalSubtitula oh, i agree that the are the better songs of Bloodbath (actually my two favourite), but to me, Tagtgren performs the vocals on those songs much better than Akerfeldt. So why not choose something that was originally suited for Mikael since they only played two song?
@blindguardian187 This is not Opeth, this is Bloodbath, its not about who the singer is, its just about the band and their awesome repertory, and like I said, Eaten is a song that has to be in every setlist because is "their most important track" if we can call it in that way, and they could play songs like Breeding Death, Like Fire, Ways to the Grave or Outnumbering the day, wich are very important songs in the Bloodbath setlists just like Soul Eviceration, so, I hope you understand now.
@AndresMetalSubtitula I'm aware this is bloodbath..I'm also aware Eaten is probably their most famous song....the original question was somewhat rhetorical as my whole point here, is I think Mikael performs his songs better than he does Peter's song...
I was there, I definitely know who Bloodbath is. I am a little annoyed as well that most people there seemed clueless, especially since they all acted like huge Opeth fans. All I know was that I was so lucky to be there and this was an amazing moment.
Mikael sounds so well spoken and mannered to try and amp up a crowd. He's the kind of guy you sit at a cafe and discuss things with. Except he's a musical genius, and amazing vocalist.
This is officially the 9th show of Bloodbath, Even if I am jealous, I feel happy for the bloodbath fans that witness this in Baltimore but its frustrating the fact that there were a lot of people who didnt know what Bloodbath was and had the honor to witness a rare ocation how it is a bloodbath presentation, that really pisses me off, I would like to thank "metalheadbill" for uploading this, we really apreciate this material.
Greetings from Colombia. I really want to see bloodbath live someday.
Wish to hell they would have done this at my gig too. Was so hoping when the tour with Opeth and Katatonia was announced they would. Probably the only chance I'd ever get to see Bloodbath songs live. Bloodbath need to fucking tour the States.
He can growl. Fuck, i missed my chance at the meet and greet to slap him for smoking. Thats so retarded, for someone i deem intelligent, it's a dumb move.
For the record, the people wondering who was on stage with them are my friends. They like Opeth but they had not heard of Bloodbath until that night. After seeing it, they thought it was the highlight of the show.
They got to see it and you didn't. Stick that in your ass and smoke it.
@metalheadbill Right on metalheadbill. There are a lot of idiots out there. I have friends who love Opeth or love Katatonia but didn't realize members from each band joined together to make up Bloodbath. People work and have lives to live. They can't know every fact about every band. Not everyone lives with their parents and can spend all day on the internet displaying their superior metal band knowledge. And I guarantee you they don't know some bands I think they should. THANKS FOR THE VIDEO!!!
@kiekan Dude when I looked at the songs Opeth played for this show in Baltimore on setlist.fm and it showed 2 Bloodbath songs I literally started cursing outloud to myself. Then I just sat there staring at my monitor for 3 minutes. But I am glad the folks in Baltimore got to witness this. So epic. And at least some people were nice enough to upload their videos for us to see.
Oh man, I would soooooo have loved it if they had done this in Pgh. The new material is good, but an Opeth show with no death metal vocals left me feeling a little lost.
@molibianco Idiot! I'm not dissing Bloodbath, I'm dissing the Opeth posers trying to act Death Metal! Listen to them on that video, the guy right next to the camera doesn't even know the band Bloodbath. I fucking love Bloodbath! Get your facts straight cunt muscle! haha.
bloodbath i hope they would play her in Los Angles iv see Opeth but BloodBath her LA that would be crazy!!! and Sick Show!!! \m/

Maybe with the new Opeth album being such a letdown, maybe Bloodbath can get more attention? New album and NA tour is what I'm campaigning for.

You can't mosh to a band live if they only play one show every 26 years. I wouldn't wanna miss any second of their live set.

@blindguardian187 Cause Nightmares is easily the best Bloodbath albums. BTW, Mike's growls went to shit after Fathomless.
