and Billy Bob Thornton's performance as 'Jacob' is sublime..

love the music, the atmosphere, the setting & of course... the genius touch that is those foreboding crows !

Leave it to Sam Raimi to make the perfect suspense thriller!

@oktar123 It's not a scary movie, it's an amazing thriller. The setting is more like Misery but not the storyline, it has nothing in common with the Shining. It is the perfect thriller movie, if you like intense thrillers.

ok saw the movie... and it wasnt what i expected... first of all..... i was expecting hank to tell the story while we watch the movie as in the book.... second... the changes in the movie i didnt like it .... i didnt like either all the dead people.... and not traces not nothing .. for being just a normal person hank had a lot of experience in killing people and not being caught ... anyway.... im not so happy about the movie but the book was ok.... i didnt expected the end something was missing

I actually thought that the trailer was good. It really built up the suspense. Often after I've seen a movie, I think that the trailer showed too much, but thats because I had already seen the movie. Much of the video was out of sequence.

Anyone know what the music is that starts at :42? I'm pretty certain it's from another movie score (sounds kinda like Thomas Newman) but I can't figure it out. It's driving me nuts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's the trailer that comes on the DVD, so I'm guessing it was probably the theatrical trailer as well. If I'm wrong, Albie Einstein can smack me unconscious. I agree it shows a lot, but every time I see it I just wanna watch the movie over and over again until my head explodes and spider monkey's dance all over my rotting smattered remains. This flick is an underrated cinematic masterpiece of quasi-epic proportions!

Yes, it's a truly masterpiece and so underrated. I think that this film is better than genius "No Country For Old Men". Coen brothers use similar camera shoot sometimes. In "No Country" for example we see a car and his lights in the midnight when Moss is by the cars, where he found drugs, same shoot we see in "A simple plan", when Sheriif drives and stop by main heroes.

I saw the movie (god bless) without see a trailer. I sad that in my country (Poland) "A Simple Plan" isn't available on DVD.
