I agree my girlfriend works with kids who have autism, she comes home with bite marks and bruises all the time you never know what there going to do one second they want to play the next the get over exited and want to hit, bite, kick, run...clearly the kid seen it was a bad guy and reacted.
Having been in Maul's position, he wasn't at fault at all. You never know what that kid is doing. Sure he could have just been going for a high five, but as far as Maul knew, that kid was 1) in an area he wasn't supposed to be in and 2) going to hit Maul. That kid's parents are retarded for thinking that it was anyone's fault but theirs.

You're all dumbasses. The boy didn't slap him, he was trying to get Darth Maul's attention for his mom to take the picture. The only ones who reacted badly was Darth Maul...and YouTube viewers!
The kid was obviously not trying to high five him by waving a hand in his face. And the guy that was portraying DM did not see the kid doing the hand shaking thing before he approached. If he did, he probably would not have pushed him into the crowd.

People like the mother, the son and the person that made this video make the world a fucking nightmare for cool guys wanting to eat, shit , fuck and sleep.
@FoundINSound Good point. You tell them. The guy should have busted the kids nose for daring to run out of the middle of a parade and I might add his parents should have been arrested for letting him run out into the parade like that. A parent should never make a mistake! They knew the kid was autistic, they should have tied him up and put him on a leash to make sure that doesn't happen.
@gnetikjakhammer no what I'm saying is if your going to be a shitty parent which I don't think person deserves to be because I don't see her once pull her child back ad make sure he's out of harms way, but if you goin to be a shitty parent and not pay attention to your responsibilities atleast do something like put a leash but if your that horrible then you should honestly just give up the child for adoption to someone else that can take care of and look after it or better who wants to. Point i
The boy went to hit him he blocked got a little angry, pushed the kid and walked away. Boy learned a valuble lession, you keep you hands to your self. We do not need any 16 year special need kids the size of an adult thinking he can hit the pretend bad guy because his mother did not teach him. Well he learned the hard way with let damage other than hurt feelings. Welcome to life.
You have no right to complain Disney has rules and I'm pretty sure if you weren't busy being a dumb parent, you could at least be half smart and put a leash on your child like all the other horrible parents do my point is if your not going to pay attention to your child then don't open you dumb mouth and bitch; however farther mail in character or not a small child should not be punished for horrible parenting skills or handicap both parties were in the wrong
@Laxoften13 PUT A LEASH ON YOUR CHILD?! look folks, this is what this country has come to. Advising to treat your own child like a pet instead of a human being and teaching them things about life.
@Laxoften13 I agree! Im sick of these out of control kids slapping peoples palms. And to run out two feet into the street during a parade? That father should get fifty lashes. Even if parents are human that is no excuse for making a mistake! I think we should call family services and get this high five bullshit under control.
LOL Disney employee "attacks" handicapped child. If your kid is handicapped mabye you should have kept him behind the yellow line like everybody else. By the looks of it he was trying to stay in character but just got a little more rough than he should have. And the stomach ulcers bullshit? Shut the fuck up. This minor incident wouldn't cause a stomach ulcer.
Wow, first off why the hell isn't the mom watching her kid, especially if he's handicapped. Second, the kid clearly goes to strike the employee. The employee stayed in character, while defending himself. The dude doesn't know the kid's handicapped. He's not going to let a random fan, whether kid or not, just strike him.
okay this is bullshit. the employee clearly is just blocking the kid from hitting him. "little joe" probably thought it would be funny to hit the bad guy. strikes back from fear my ass. people need to learn to control their brat ass kids.
WELL AS A AUNT TO A SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD AND A CAREGIVER FOR SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN IN NO WAY DOES ANY CHILD DESERVE TO B TREATED THIS WAY!!!!! HE IS A DAM ADULT AND SHOULD KNOW BETTER TO PLACE HIS HANDS ON ANY CHILD!!!!! AND WHO GIVES A RATS ASS IF THE CHILD WAS FAMILIAR WITH DARTH MAUL:S NICENESS OR MEANNESS
@mimis4me It's about being in control of your child.. It doesn't matter if he is a "Special Needs" child. You can't let them run around in traffic.. or do you? BAD PARENTS NO OPRAH
Some of you are retarded. How the hell do you think the kid wanted a high five? You can see him hitting Darth Mauls chest and because he's already pissed that the Sith has died out and has anger management he was forced to attack the special ed kid.
The mother is a retard because she's like "Oh my sons special he can attack the Sith if he wants"
honestly its not the kids fault. Id almost bet that they guy playing Maul has gotten "crap" for being a "bad guy" from other dumb kids. as joey goes to hi five, Maul sees an attack (beyond the crowd limits) by a mischievous kid on his "bad guy" character. so he BLOCKS the attack and pushes the kid back where he should have stayed. staying in character and performing crowd control as there are moving vehicles coming.
This kids parents need a reality check. I understand that your child has problems and I am sympathetic, but fuck you if you think he should be allowed to wander in the middle of a parade for no good reason other than the fact that he's sick.
Kid developed more problems as a result of this? Gimme a fucking break. America's parents are a little too sensitive and wound up for their own good. Shit like 'you touch someone, it's considered assault'. We're raising a generation of cowards and sissies.
I love how the poster of this video claims his increased medical problems are the result of this incident at Disney. Yes the employee was in the wrong with his actions but come on! "Little Joe" was ill already. This is yet another example of people making more drama out of a incident then is needed.
Wow, did the person that made the video also have autism? 1:07 to read a tiny paragraph? I fell asleep and didn't even make it to the kid bashing part. Let me know what happens.
I love how people stick up for the kid because he's autistic.
Reminds me of Chris-chan: Use Autism, get away with everything.
The parent should be more responsible, especially if their child is special needs.
Mental condition or not, I'm sure Maul would have done the same thing to any kid who starts attacking him and standing in the way of the parade. Maybe it's not the most kid-friendly way, but it stopped a possible accident.
Darth Maul pushed the kid but the maker of the video exaggerated the actual event. That wasn't an assault, he didn't hit little Joe, just pushed him, and that look at the end wasn't an "I'll hit you again look" it was a "don't cross the line" look.
Holy jeez, people need to relax!!! If you knew about Star Wars, you'd know that all he was doing was playing the role. Watch the video again, he didn't hit the kid, he didn't "shove" the kid. It was all in fun and keeping in character.....
The pain on his face? Why don't ya keep your kids in check first and then this would've never happened. Why would you approach a sith like that anyways? :) just saying
The mom should've kept the child from literally standing in the parade route, it's not ok for the kid to be out there like that. That being said, the employee shouldn't have touched the child so forcefully, but both parties are at fault here. I'm sure the kid isn't suffering daily from this little incident though, c'mon. I don't think the employee should lose his job over this though.

I don't believe that the mother and maker of this video blame the employee. He was trying to get the boy back behind the line, and then the boy comes up hitting him in the the arm, then slapping him. Sure he has a disease, but you can't just let your child walk and hit someone and blame the person who had self-defense. It's just plain stupid how bitchy ass mothers let their children do something like this, and blame the other person who did not do anything! Take responsibilty in your own actions
The issue here is bad parenting. You let your kid interupt a parade, and just because some of the people in the parade responded with high fives does not mean that he had the right to be out in the parade. The guy in the Darth Maul costume is most likely supposed to be scary and keep kids from getting into the parade. I doubt the employee even got fired since he was wearing face paint, and you would be hard pressed to identify him out of costume.
I have been to Disney World for 6 consecutive years now and had no experience like this. remember this employee is just human he didn't know what was going on and accidentally reacted on instinct. I know it doesn't excuse it but I'm sure he wouldn't just hit handicapped kids for no good reason.
this video is such a fuckin lie. the employee was wrong to hit him but he did not get nightmares and stomach ulcers from this you stupid liar. if Disney were required to be liable for everything their employees do they would be tied up in law suits and shit for years. Its how a business is run and if u don't like it get over it.
Pfft, stay out of the street and don't swing at strangers kid. Lesson learned. Better him being pushed back to his mother (and really playing with your camera instead of paying attention to what your kid is doing, for shame lady) instead of getting hit by a car or beat to a pulp by someone else.
Thousands of people stood behind the parade boundaries. Some of them had medical issues. Only one of them had a parent retarded enough to think it was an interactive parade.
No being funny but am i the only one who thought the kid was trying to keep darth away instead of high fiving him it was a little more agressive than that. There is so much bs in this video like about the part where they say he now has stomach ulcers as a result of being pushed. My grandad died of ulcers in his stomach and im pretty sure it was not because if being handeled by darth maul. Yeah the kid was out of place just because he's handicapped does not give him those kinds of privellages.
Feeling threatened to be struck by the kid or not, you do not turn around and PUSH the kid into a crowd of people. The other cast members didn't freak out when the kid wanted to say hi to them. It's freaking Disney World, the cast members should expect kids to be excited to see them. If that guy doesn't like kids, he shouldn't be working there.
I really am sad for humanity I really am. If feel you that little boy is a threat to you physically then someone has a BIG problem. Its not a matter if he should not be out there or not at this point. The issue is that you do not push a child that way. It is lucky that he did not get injured.
I love how parents will blame anyone and not take responsibility for their own child. There is a line that people are not supposed to cross for a reason. I understand the child has medical issues, but it doesn't make it right for the parent to allow them to just walk out into the middle of the parade. What if the boy walked in front of the car and got it? I bet she'd blame the person driving when he's not supposed to be there to begin with. Ignorant people.
I know some of these comments here are trying to be funny, and I know some of them are serious. If you are so much in character that you hurt someone let alone a little boy then you have gone to far.
The other actors handled him just fine
And this is not even taking inconsideration the fact that the little boy has some issues.
First of all that guy is three times the boys size. He should have never put his hands on him that way. The guy was threatened buy that one boy that he had to treat him like that? Looks like the guy needs to re-evaluate what it means to be a person in general.
@vinniegiovanni A little brat walks up and puts his hands up in a manner that shows he might be attempting to hit me, I'm going to push him away, regardless if he's mentally handicapped. Sorry, parents job to keep their kids under control.
take a second and think that could have been an acsident because as that employee is playing the roll of darth maul he might have been soposed to acted like that SERIESLY have you seen his carictor in the movies
how would you react if your minding your own business and a kid comes up to you out of no where and starts swinging his arms at you, he's obviously defending himself. how are they supposed to know the difference between a nut case and a disabled kid
Yes people, look at the pain on little Joe's face...
Because with such high-def images we can clearly see what is going on...
Developing nightmares as a result of this, slightly plausible.
Stomach ulcers as a result of this, no. Stomach ulcers are caused by chronic inflammation due to Heliobacter Pylori bacteria or extensive use of NSAIDs, like aspirin or ibuprofen. They are not caused by being pushed by a Disney Employee.
Go do your panicmongering somewhere else. And get your facts right.
people need to learn the difference between "attacked" and moved to the side because you're in the way of the parade route. I don't see anyone else in the middle of the parade. Thats because they clearly mark and state to stay off the parade route, if anyone the mom is at fault for not telling her son to stand to the side. but honestly its not big deal, get over it. And i feel bad for the darth maul dude who probably got fired cause of this
It looks like Darth Maul was already pissed off from the start. Maybe a bunch of people were like booing darth maul, or maybe he's had incidents of kids always trying touch him or throw stuff at him, because it looked like this kid was trying to do something "suspicious" to him. But anyways yeah, it's the Kids fault, your not suppose to be walking into the road like that, let alone touching the characters....
He was clearly being in character as it's his job to be. Plus, how was he supposed to know the kid was autistic at first glance? It's often considered an invisible disability. You can't just let a kid, disabled or not, run into the path of a parade. There were cars there! What if there were floats coming?! If I was the parents and had to choose I would rather my kid got shoved by a villain character than get injured by a car or float!
If u noticed early in the vid the other cast just hugged/highfived him. The kid obviously knows that cars = bad so why would a cast member just take the kid and push him away? is it because he was acting as the portrade character would? who knows but only offering popcorn and ice cream? and not something?
Horrible comments on the video the kid ran at him in the street what looked like to me the kid is lucky it was only a light push, and that incidence wasn't the cause of his medical stuff it was the fact he was handicapped
He kinda looked liked he was going to slap Darth Maul...just saying. And I'm sure the guy deals with stuff like that all the time and was just fed up with it. Whether the kid was handicapped or not, his parents should've know better to keep him from going out there. And yeah...it's common sense not to go up to a Sith Lord for a "high-five" you didn't see any Stormtroopers going up to high-five Vader after they took control of the Tantive IV.
Disney takes FULL care of your CASH but not the people it employes for YOUR enjoyment. So its OK to beat a park visitor up Disney will give him an ice cream that actually costs so close to nothing its worthless.
Being pushed was the least of their concerns. He was lucky he didnt get force choked much less diced up with his dual edged saber. If Qui Gon can beat Darth Maul i highly doubt this boy had a chance. And since when did a Sith Lord become sentimental? Haha this was classic! Made my day!
I wasn't a bash in the face for goodness sake. It was a light push. There was no pain in his face! As you mentioned, he has cerebral palsy and autism! People like that make weird faces! Would you not close your eyes if I put my hand in your face? Should I take this as the most serious crime that has ever been commited?
Whomever uploaded this video with the comments is a freaking idiot. Beware of Disney parks, they are unsafe? And the kid is still suffering to this day from this? I'm so sure. WE are suffering from greedy incompetent parents like these who raise their kid without manners or self discipline. They would let their kid play with a deadly snake at a zoo too, but then when he got bit they'd probably try to sue them. The worst part is blaming disney, take a look at yourself first.
I agree my girlfriend works with kids who have autism, she comes home with bite marks and bruises all the time you never know what there going to do one second they want to play the next the get over exited and want to hit, bite, kick, run...clearly the kid seen it was a bad guy and reacted.

@FoundINSound Good point. You tell them. The guy should have busted the kids nose for daring to run out of the middle of a parade and I might add his parents should have been arrested for letting him run out into the parade like that. A parent should never make a mistake! They knew the kid was autistic, they should have tied him up and put him on a leash to make sure that doesn't happen.
blabbermouth777 3 days ago

What did you expect, it's Darth Maul?

You have no right to complain Disney has rules and I'm pretty sure if you weren't busy being a dumb parent, you could at least be half smart and put a leash on your child like all the other horrible parents do my point is if your not going to pay attention to your child then don't open you dumb mouth and bitch; however farther mail in character or not a small child should not be punished for horrible parenting skills or handicap both parties were in the wrong
Laxoften13 4 days ago 5
@Laxoften13 PUT A LEASH ON YOUR CHILD?! look folks, this is what this country has come to. Advising to treat your own child like a pet instead of a human being and teaching them things about life.
gnetikjakhammer 4 days ago

This minor incident wouldn't cause a stomach ulcer.
sartistman1 5 days ago
Wow, first off why the hell isn't the mom watching her kid, especially if he's handicapped. Second, the kid clearly goes to strike the employee. The employee stayed in character, while defending himself. The dude doesn't know the kid's handicapped. He's not going to let a random fan, whether kid or not, just strike him.
tygueMONSTAR 5 days ago 14
okay this is bullshit. the employee clearly is just blocking the kid from hitting him. "little joe" probably thought it would be funny to hit the bad guy. strikes back from fear my ass. people need to learn to control their brat ass kids.

TheGhostHunterVideos 6 days ago
honestly its not the kids fault.
BSoontirfel 6 days ago

Ralphinsc 1 week ago 3
Fucking kids.
Hats off to Maul for setting that kid straight.

youkilledkiller22 1 week ago
Darth Maul pushed the kid but the maker of the video exaggerated the actual event. That wasn't an assault, he didn't hit little Joe, just pushed him, and that look at the end wasn't an "I'll hit you again look" it was a "don't cross the line" look.

SDRailfan 1 week ago

MrGoodbar1318 1 week ago 3
this video is such a fuckin lie. the employee was wrong to hit him but he did not get nightmares and stomach ulcers from this you stupid liar. if Disney were required to be liable for everything their employees do they would be tied up in law suits and shit for years. Its how a business is run and if u don't like it get over it.

Pfft, stay out of the street and don't swing at strangers kid. Lesson learned. Better him being pushed back to his mother (and really playing with your camera instead of paying attention to what your kid is doing, for shame lady) instead of getting hit by a car or beat to a pulp by someone else.
valen2040 1 week ago 4
Thousands of people stood behind the parade boundaries. Some of them had medical issues. Only one of them had a parent retarded enough to think it was an interactive parade.
luthegreat 1 week ago 5
No being funny but am i the only one who thought the kid was trying to keep darth away instead of high fiving him it was a little more agressive than that. There is so much bs in this video like about the part where they say he now has stomach ulcers as a result of being pushed. My grandad died of ulcers in his stomach and im pretty sure it was not because if being handeled by darth maul. Yeah the kid was out of place just because he's handicapped does not give him those kinds of privellages.
CaMpiNCaCtUs 1 week ago 4
Feeling threatened to be struck by the kid or not, you do not turn around and PUSH the kid into a crowd of people. The other cast members didn't freak out when the kid wanted to say hi to them. It's freaking Disney World, the cast members should expect kids to be excited to see them. If that guy doesn't like kids, he shouldn't be working there.
EvilChicobo 1 week ago

TheAbeTate 1 week ago
I know some of these comments here are trying to be funny, and I know some of them are serious. If you are so much in character that you hurt someone let alone a little boy then you have gone to far.
The other actors handled him just fine
And this is not even taking inconsideration the fact that the little boy has some issues.
vinniegiovanni 1 week ago
First of all that guy is three times the boys size. He should have never put his hands on him that way. The guy was threatened buy that one boy that he had to treat him like that? Looks like the guy needs to re-evaluate what it means to be a person in general.
vinniegiovanni 1 week ago

surgeusb 1 week ago

Hophop1228 1 week ago
Nice retarded kid you've got there.
nohulse 1 week ago
He was clearly being in character as it's his job to be. Plus, how was he supposed to know the kid was autistic at first glance? It's often considered an invisible disability. You can't just let a kid, disabled or not, run into the path of a parade. There were cars there! What if there were floats coming?! If I was the parents and had to choose I would rather my kid got shoved by a villain character than get injured by a car or float!
Lissy71 1 week ago
If u noticed early in the vid the other cast just hugged/highfived him. The kid obviously knows that cars = bad so why would a cast member just take the kid and push him away? is it because he was acting as the portrade character would? who knows but only offering popcorn and ice cream? and not something?

He kinda looked liked he was going to slap Darth Maul...just saying. And I'm sure the guy deals with stuff like that all the time and was just fed up with it. Whether the kid was handicapped or not, his parents should've know better to keep him from going out there. And yeah...it's common sense not to go up to a Sith Lord for a "high-five" you didn't see any Stormtroopers going up to high-five Vader after they took control of the Tantive IV.
