I find this number so clever. It's an American type of intelligence: pragmatic harmonies that go straight to the point. Sondheim is a giant of songwriting: so sad that he's kind of an American secret.

Listen this particularly sound of the music, the 70's I was a baby at this moment but my mother, yet she's french, listened a lot musicals from US, and the voice of Pamela Meyers, for me today she still the best performer of this play. Look ll the musicians very councious, and this sequence behind the scenes, on recording I suppose, very great moment. It's happened at New York, right? SONDHEIM, what a man!!!!
