It was so uplifting for me, a non-Anglican, to have been there back on 24 June 2009. I love John Wasson's rendition of one of my favorite hymns, "Praise My Soul the King of Heaven." Thank you, Baby Blue Anglican, for uploading this song. Unfortunately, neither Christ Church nor ACNA made an official recording of this song. (This is understandable as their minds were on the grand occasion.)
Hardly. This action restored its member parishes to full communion with the majority of the Anglican Communion and returned them to closer fellowship with the vast majority of worldwide Christianity. Indeed it was taken to heal a gash in the body of Christ opened by others.
@NorskinDC This is part of our quirks. The Episcopal Church is in full communion with Canterbury who is in full communion with the other members (otherwise they would not be in the Anglican Communion) so, through Canterbury the Episcopal Church is in full communion with all churches int the Anglican Communion.
I am Southern Baptist (Messianic Jewish as well), I do support women in ministry as I look at the examples of Junia, the first female Apostle, Phoebe a deacon and Priscilla (Prisca in Romans 16). I read a comment on another video claiming that you are a hybrid of SBC and the AC if this is true, do you support the supreme authority of Sacred Scripture (Unlike the majority of the AC), Missions as female Clergy?
One of the great privileges of my life was to be there and Process in this Liturgy! Archbishop and Mrs. Duncan are true Gifts to the Province. May God Bless them mightily.
the text of the hymn is beautiful, and with it's close connection to St. Paul's, London, is doubtless one of the most beloved in the whole of the Anglican communion. It is most unfortunate that the love of Our Heavenly Father is so consciously betrayed by statements and sentiments as those imposed parenthetically by the previous remarks of "musiknouvel."
Father-like, he tends and spares us; well our feeble frame he knows; in his hand he gently bears us, rescues us from all our foes. Alleluia, alleluia! Widely yet his mercy flows. Angels, help us to adore him; ye behold him face to face; sun and moon, bow down before him, dwellers all in time and space. Alleluia, alleluia! Praise with us the God of grace.
Praise, my soul, the King of heaven; to his feet thy tribute bring; ransomed, healed, restored, forgiven, evermore his praises sing: Alleluia, alleluia! Praise the everlasting King. Praise him for his grace and favor to our fathers in distress; praise him still the same for ever, slow to chide and swift to bless: Alleluia, alleluia! Glorious in his faithfulness.
@obxemt : If only. The tactic taken is to talk us to death and demand that we listen, and when we object, call us homophobes, and when we say we don't want to hear anymore, to tell us that EVEN MORE listening will help us see the light.

musicnouvel, as Anglicans, maybe we should consider talking about something other than homosexuality. Maybe just once. Maybe just for five minutes.
