Actually you don't get too much inbreeding problems from being with a cousin, though if several generations keep it up it can accour. It's a common thing in saudi arabia for people to marry their cousins.

They really used to put some effort into the drawings and animation back then. So much better than the cheap crap coming out of America and Japan at the time (which sadly appears to be the norm now...)

I remember these so vividly and I was like 5 when I started watching them. I was talking to my mom a while ago about them and asked her "mom what was that series I used to watch? there was one about kittens that lost their mittens and one about a rat that rolled this kitten in pie dough" and she laughed and said "The Miss Potter Collection... Some of the stories were a tad morbid! like the one about the duck that was almost eaten by the fox!" I am so happy I found these:) they take me back :,,)

I Love Beatrix Potter's Stories. I use to watch the little cartoons in the Spring Time with my children when they were very little in Louisiana. They bring back so many good memories.
