I think what ended up happening was that Daredevil was such a disliked movie (Even though I thought it was really good, it was better than Spider-man that's for sure) that they only made enough budget money to do a sequel. They also didn't make much of a profit from the GBA Daredevil release and even the Marvel Legends Daredevil figure was a big flop. So they lost so much money they jest decided to stop production of the PS2 game. I wouldn't doubt if there was only one copy that exists.
I saw this exact trailer on a Spider-man animated DVD, I still have it. The second time I saw this game was in a Spiderman 2 game guide magazine I saw in Barnes & Noble, which also told the release of another Spider-man game coming out, both on PS2, however neither one came out, I guess both were canceled. However I kno both games exist, because on the commercial (This one here) shows the final boss, and the guide showed how to get passed some Spider-man stages on the game that never came to be.
arkham city will be the game of the year. epic. it reminded me of my favorite super hero, daredevil. and how they need to make a daredevil game for the current generation consoles. i would buy a well made daredevil game no questions asked
Marvel needs to get their ass in gear and make a Daredevil game. it can be almost Batman-like. i doubt a Daredevil game can as good as both Batman: Arkham games, but it can come close.
@Furmanov18 I was think the exact same thing. Almost everything in Batman Arkham City can be adapted. But they would have to change some things about it to make it different.
Reminds me of the original Spider Man game on PS2 and N64. Should make a DD game. Don't know if it should copy AA though. Needs a more in depth combat system since DD feels more ninja focused especially since Miller's revamp. Batman has gadgets and his detective skills while DD is primarily focused on his kung fu. I mean the blind master is a kung fu staple after all
@msh361 no one would make a game where you can only see in radar. assassin's creed has eagle vision, batman AA has his detective vision, and in chronicles of riddick there is a special sense vision that you can turn on and off. the same would apply to a daredevil game. you could turn the enhanced vision on or off depending on if the situation called for it. just b/c matt murdock is blind doesn't mean the gamer has to play in the dark. think of crossing assassins creed with arkham city engine

If Treyarch did this like SM2/SM3 that would be awesome...Batman AA was ok and pretty...but the map sucked, the button mashing 1 attack button was too simple, and the Joker was way too easy at the end. Was best Batman game by far though. Treyarch already has made the map for NYC, they could easily make this game...but wont happen because most just wanna play games with guns than you walk around with.

A Daredevil PS2 game with free roam (a la Spiderman 2) would be one of the greatest games... ever lol. The only Daredevil game around is the gameboy one which did absolutely no justice to how awesome he is.

@giantpickleman2 Thats what I told my roommate last month after re-buying Marvel Nemesis Riseof the Imperfects. Use the basis of DD's part in that game, combine it with the combat system (but more acrobatic) and detective mode of Batman AA to make up for DD's hyper senses and use the template of Akham City for Hell's Kitchen.
@giantpickleman2 considering the agillity daredevil has i don't think the batman aa movement physics would work.he needs a system where u can do a jump between 2 buldings in a single bounce like dd does.but the graphics from aa would be great.the movement mechanics in this daredevil game look good for a game that old.all they need is a little improvement combined with some batman aa graphics and a full new york to explore(a-la spiderman WOS)with cool jumping and acrobatics and u have perfection

We worked on the game for about 3yrs, Marvel finally pulled the plug. There were a lot of issues that plagued the game - namely the lack of support from our engineers. They thought that getting high at lunch was more productive than actually working.
well just because he was blind doesnt mean they could cancel it but i do know where your going frozen they could have done the blind effect like on batman aa he does the detective mode, they could of added in a sense mode since dare devil uses sound waves to track people
Mixwizzard: No, the movie already had it's own tie-in (it was a year before this game was supposed to come out), but it only came out on the GBA. This one was a comics-based game that was coming out on the X-box and PS2.
i think that if they do a daredevil game , you should see like him. like in the movie he sees everithing in the city, in that blue, radar effect, and they should use that in the game, to focuse and when you get hit you loose focus and become blind again.
like when you have max focuse, you see perfect, but when you get hit or fail at something, you loose focuse, making you blind.
I do too... I would love a DD game on next gen systems, in a open world envrionment with some great gameplay.. And comics story it would rock. Sort of like Hulk Ultimate Destruction, except bigger, better graphics and Daredevil gameplay.. nice.

Spiderman has already beaten DD, DD already said Spiderman is stronger faster and has more agility than him. IM HAS ALREADY whitstand punches of hulk, thor and sentry soo many times... DareDevil is very similiar to Batman, dark and gritty.

well just because he was blind doesnt mean they could cancel it but i do know where your going frozen they could have done the blind effect like on batman aa he does the detective mode, they could of added in a sense mode since dare devil uses sound waves to track people

Mixwizzard: No, the movie already had it's own tie-in (it was a year before this game was supposed to come out), but it only came out on the GBA. This one was a comics-based game that was coming out on the X-box and PS2.

i think that if they do a daredevil game , you should see like him. like in the movie he sees everithing in the city, in that blue, radar effect, and they should use that in the game, to focuse and when you get hit you loose focus and become blind again.
like when you have max focuse, you see perfect, but when you get hit or fail at something, you loose focuse, making you blind.

I do too... I would love a DD game on next gen systems, in a open world envrionment with some great gameplay.. And comics story it would rock. Sort of like Hulk Ultimate Destruction, except bigger, better graphics and Daredevil gameplay.. nice.

Spiderman has already beaten DD, DD already said Spiderman is stronger faster and has more agility than him. IM HAS ALREADY whitstand punches of hulk, thor and sentry soo many times... Actually Sentry and HULK were already defeated by IM... IM would beat Spiderman, Wolverine and DD togheter, the last would fall would be spiderman because hes superior to the others..
