i want to add that this is probably my favorite song on Pretty. Odd.--the other's were kind of odd when Brendon sang them. I don't think this is his style.

but what i dislike about this song is when it says "we're all too smart to talk to god".

i mean, i know they are all atheists, and it sucks i won't get to meet them in heaven, but you don't have to say that kind of thing in the album. and i thought it was bad in the first CD...which is my favorite album ever!

i agree with you all about his expression, but his voice also surprised me in this video.

i don't know if it was just that he was nervous to be singing a whole song live in a concert rather than just the back-up vocals....but it didn't sound a good as it does on the CD.

don't get me wrong, i love ryan's voice--it just sounded different and shaky.

brendon is way better at lead singing, which is why he's a lead singer.

ryan does appear bored - but i think it's just his personality; he's a little less flamboyant than brendon (like most lead guitarists are in comparison to their lead singers). and i think there's some sort of purity and style in his voice that really suits this song.

ryan is quieter than brendon, and since we're all used to watching bren on the vids because he's the frontman and is the one who appears the more, when the camera changes to ryan, he comes off as bored, maybe sad-looking. but remember, p!atd was RYAN'S idea, his dream, he started everything, so it's not that he doesn't have emotion for what he does, he is just more quiet about it than B, who is an attention whore.
