@alfbarroso Hi, no, the Line Selector let's you choose between singal path A or B or both. In this case I have chosen to put a delay in A and an other delay in B. By switching, I can choose when I want to hear wich delay...
@MrGijsOnwijs Great, I got an LS-2, too! Seems that Line Selector would be a good option for pedals that are not used frequently, like the very very wieerd ones that everybody's got in their pedalboards. By the way, you got a huge selection of pedals, more than 8 pedals on it, haven't you? Have you put more than one pedal per loop? Thanks for your attention!
I just rec'd the new Carl Martin OCTA SWITCH-II. It's powered by 2 - 9v batteries but the voltage for the power supply input is not marked. Do you know if it uses 9v or 18v? . . . Thx.
@macbean79 Hi! It depends on your amplifier and guitar as well. Here are the settings: Bass 90% Mid 25% Treble 40% Gain 40% and the switch set to Low - 600 hz.
Hi MrGijsOnwijs, how u doing? I have a pedalboard with 9 pedals, so I really need one of those... I see you´ve post this at something around 2 years ago. Still have the Octa-Switch? Still happy with it?? I´m thinking on buying it, but how is something quite expensive here in Brazil, I have to be more sure.
dude, this is like my dream pedal board. I would add on a big muff, but it's just the cream over the donut... Man, the octa-switch wow. Good job on the good looks and order of the pedals.
It is not that hard. Certain pedals (such as my delays) are together in 1 loop. Iv'e got still the ability to reach the front pedals with my feet to turn them on/off.
@MrGijsOnwijs oh....so pedals have to be on all the time, coz i somehow figured that the octaswitch turns them on? xD this device is great finally i can have my gilmour sounds ;))
Hey great stuff man!! I see that you have alot more than just 8 pedals, how does the octaswitch handle more than 8 at a time? Im guessing maybe some are out of the octaloop and are used just like standard stompboxes? Great pedals, great board, great tone!!
great setup! I'm thinking of getting the octaswitch but I'm at a loss as what to do with the wah. I'm assuming you have to run it before or after the octaswitch (if you don't want it in a loop) but then I'd have to put it before all the effects (like distortion) which I wouldn't like or after all the effects (like delay) which would suck too. Is there any way around this? Thanks...
So with the Octa-switch you pretty much just put which pedals you want in a loop and when you hit that loops switch it turns them on? I'm really interested in the Octa-switch but most of what I've read has been quite confusing.
hey quick question. Im totally new to bypass switchers and I am wondering how they work when you have a boss pedal.. Like do you have to have the pedal on already and then click the looper channel? or do you just click the looper channel the pedal is on and it turns on? Sorry im just confused..
cool walkthrough, i have a question though. can you choose to turn on different pedal either in series or parallel? for example, if you have two distortion pedals, can you set them to run in parallel?
Hi! Do you mean that you want to switch between 2 distortion pedals and the option to use them both together? In that case; you can choose to put distortion 1 in a loop and distortion 2 in another loop. With the dipswitches you can choose to hear them both or seperately.
I guess I need to clarify a bit, when you put two distortion pedals each in a different loop, and engage both loops, do they create two separate sounds played at the same time? or is the first distorted sound gets more distorted through the second pedal? I'm looking for two separate distortion sounds to be played through at the same time (kinda like Red Witch Famulus pedal) thanks!
No, that is not possible. The numbers of the Octaswitch are in a chain. Number 1 is the first pedal where the signal will go through. Number 8 the last. So when you add 2 distortions, the first one will indeed boost the one after it. Hope you now know the answer. Good Luck!
holy crap, we have the exact same taste in tone! I loved every single tone you showed in this video. Especially the Seymour Duncan Twin Mayhem, that was awesome and keep it up!
Thanks for your reply! I ordered my version a couple of days after the release date and I received it within 2 weeks. Maybe it is out of stock for a while? I use George L's cables. The best option for flexibility and tone in my opinion. By the way; nice video's on your channel! Especially your "Sounds" (Johnson, EVH etc.) video!

How the Line Selector is working on it? I mean, is it splitting part of the signal chain, "playing" a booster "role"...? Sorry for bad english...

@morganchavis
not realy
it has 8 loops, you can add as many pedals you want in each loop
then there are 8 switches, and you can choose which loops should be on when you use each switch
endless combinations
its pretty simple, yet, effective
BlizzySOAD 1 year ago
@morganchavis All pedals are on but with the octaswitch you can decide which you want to hear when...
